The Bird Bar — Restaurant in Fife

Never been to a bar that only allows two hard alcohol drinks per patron per visit. I like that they have karaoke, but the two-drink limit deal is a little ridiculous. And the one bartender, who I'd like to not state a name, has an attitude every time I come here. She is rude, and typically makes you almost feel bad for asking for another drink. Just kind of all around rough in the bar area of the establishment.

They deserve at least 2 stars because their food is usually pretty good. I've only had one time it was off, and everyone makes mistakes every once in a while. I'd say that they have a pretty good track record in that department. They have dart boards too. I believe they hold league and tournament matches here as well. Which is a big plus, especially in this state. No pool tables though.

They are also attached to a cigar/cigarette/trading post/smoke shop, restaurant, and a cigar room. I have never used the cigar room, but I have used the smoke shop and restaurant. Decent prices on smokes and cigars. Typically cheaper than most places. They have a wide variety of smokes and cigars available. They also have an ATM and a bunch of little stuff to buy that is either locally made or things like t-shirts and stuff like that. I believe they offer beer and wine as well. The only issue I've had here is a younger cashier that seems to hate her job most times I come through. I get some people suck, but I am probably one of the easiest customers you'll have, and even I get attitude. Other than that, the smoke shop is ok.

Could be a 5 star if they could fix some of their customer service issues and loosen up the collar a little on the drinks. Maybe a 4 drink limit? Give people a chance to at...

A co-worker told me about this place ( we work a few blocks away). I've driven by but it didn't stand out. I thought it was a smoke shop lol. She said the food was really good though AND you can smoke in the bar/lounge. WHAT?! Yes, we smoke. So of course I will eat there so I can also smoke on my break! We drove up and parked next to A LOT of large trucks & Service vehicles. Hmmm..The place looks like a dive...but wait. Upon entering you get a "bingo hall" vibe with the way it's set up. Kinda dark & seedy with cheap decor (St. Patrick's day Shamrocks hung from keg lights, held up by binder clips) but wait...We sat ourselves at a long bingo table and noticed a group of mature women, like us, having a damn good time. Smiles * A waitress, Kathleen? I'm bad at names, but she was alone & FABULOUS. The restaurant menu is the same in the bar. Yay! We ordered and Kathleen, if that is her name told us about the soup of the day. ARTICHOKE PARMESEAN. O.M.G. She brought us a cup to sample. I wanted to take a pot home. It's to die for. Ruben sandwich, Delish. Iced tea, perfect. Service? Perfect. My friends burger? Perfect. Plus, smoking. So yeah. This is my new favorite. I frequent this cigar lounge/bar often, due to its location and decent food. The cigar lounge has been upgraded and is great for watching sports. The bar has a lot of dart tournaments on one side, with music or karaoke, depending on what time/night you go. The staff in the bar are attentative, and the staff in the cigar lounge are great as well. Drinks aren't very expensive and the cigar crowd are a good group of gents. It's not a high end place, but you certainly get value & worth with the food, drinks and staff. UPDATE During the shutdown for covid-19, the staff has been hard at work cleaning, & creating a better experience, with more signage & making improvements for a better atmosphere. Really, "The Bird Bar" has done some great work in making all corners of the house able to see sports on numerous TV screens. They added 6-TV's which brings the total to 13-TV's for everyone's viewing angle. Today is 06/07/2020. For those who don't know, THE BIRD IS OPEN!!!! Your temperature will be taken at the door & ID MUST be shown. Currently, they are allowed to have only 75 customers at a time.
