Papa D's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Firth

Great idea for a place, needs some refinement and could be amazing. Service was great and semi-self serve which I actually enjoyed. Food left something to be desired. I hope to come back some day, so giving an honest review of my meal.

Bread was a great choice (ciabatta of some sort?), Great texture, soft and crunchy, kudos to the cook 8oz burger seemed hand formed, also great Sliced white mushrooms mostly raw, needed sauteing in a good butter Meat was overcooked, very dry, needed seasoning One slice of cheese for an 8oz patty, self explanatory Fries seemed baked in a pizza oven, ends overdone with center still nearly raw, no substitute for frying to perfection Lettuce was cut too close to the heart, green leaf or butter ...

Working on a house near Firth, needed batteries for our laser level, after driving thru town we saw the second time around that Papa D's was also a general store. Can I say how much I love small towns! Super friendly staff, totally read my mind and offered a menu. She was cooking a pizza for another table and it smelled delicious.

While the sauce is on the sweeter side which is quite popular in the midwest, the food was really good. Personally I prefer more of a garlicky or spicy sauce but that is my personal taste. If you love Valentino's sauce, you'll love the food at Papa D's. I had the hot Italian sandwich, not what I expected put...

Quick drive from Lincoln provided us with some out favorite pizza we’ve had in awhile. Located inside the local general shop, it’s not fancy, but it is delicious.

We ordered carry out, medium pizza add onions and green peppers. It was a well built pizza, topping distribution was perfect, good cheese, their pizza sauce is possibly new fav. Best part of the pizza was it wasn’t greasy - at all!

Cheese bread was on ciabatta which was super good! I could eat that marinara with a spoon, possibly even my fingers. It’s that good.
