I have only had them twice now, but both times were very good and i was impressed and my sub was very very good.. I've been working in the area for about 4 months now and had tried 2 other nearby sub shop/pizza places and was not impressed at all with them to the point I did not even bother to go get lunch anymore at work. Cleghorn house had been closed and then I forgot about them until I happen to drive by and see them open. We decided to give them a try since there is nothing else in the area we thought was worth going to. Very glad I decided to go. The staff was incredible friendly and the place was extremely clean and the food was very good. I highly recommend them.if your in the area. They are very much the best in the area, which will be obvious once you try them! The only reason they get 4 stars for the food is that I've only tried 4 items on 2 visits ( as i stop in that could very well change to a 5star soon) ...but everything I've tried so far has been very good. To compare, I had tried 2 othe local place multiple times each and thought there pizza was gross, places were not that clean and most importantly, I never finished a sub from either other place as they got thrown away with less than half eaten, and my coworkers went through the same thing. If you are in the area this is the...
Read moreLoved this place — wish we lived closer! We had Cleghorn House of Pizza saved for our trip since everyone raves about it as a great and affordable option near Great Wolf Lodge. On our first night in Fitchburg, we tried to order from them through DoorDash, but unfortunately, they aren’t on there (though they do offer delivery if you call — wish we had known sooner!).
On our last day, our nephew asked for McDonald’s. But fate had other plans… and as responsible adults, we told the 5-year-old that McDonald’s was unexpectedly closed due to rain — and detoured to Cleghorn House of Pizza instead. Best decision of the entire trip.
We ordered the lasagna with garlic bread (hands down the BEST lasagna I’ve had in a while) and a large steak, pepper, and mushroom calzone. Kiddo loved his cheese pizza too (we had a slice and confirmed it was very good) The girl at the counter was incredibly nice, and the whole crew had great vibes. The ambiance was warm and cozy — loved the big windows and plants.
If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll absolutely be...
Read moreWelcome to Cleghorn Pizza, the hidden gem of Fitchburg, MA, where the pizzas are so good, they might just be the reason the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles moved to Massachusetts. Nestled at 416 Franklin Rd, this place is more than just a pizza joint; it’s a culinary carnival for your taste buds. Step right up, folks, and prepare to be amazed by the greatest show on crust! Their pies are topped with such gusto, you’ll think each slice is a work of art, probably painted by Leonardo (the artist, not the turtle, although let’s be real, he’d love it too). And let’s talk about the cheese - oh, the cheese! It’s like a delicious dairy blanket, hugging every topping in a warm, gooey embrace.
But it’s not just about the pizza – oh no, it’s an experience! Imagine walking in, and BAM, you’re hit with the smell of baking pizza that’s so intoxicating, you’ll think you’ve been transported to an Italian grandmother’s kitchen. The staff are the real MVPs here; they’re so friendly and quick with...
