Was riding through Fitchburg and looking for a place to grab some food. Came across Gold Bowl and decided to give it a try. Place is mostly for take-out; only several booths for seating. There is no real table-service, you order at the counter and they bring your order out to you - packaged as a take-out (even though they know you're dining in). Service was fast, and staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered General's Chicken combination and a side of fried shrimp. The chicken was good, but the rice was bland, the spare ribs were just small thin strips, and the crab rangoons were meh. The fried shrimp were dripping with oil and barely edible. The place seems to be popular with the locals, tho, as the counter was busy for most of my visit. I rarely venture out that way, but if I do, I'll look for something else to try.

Update: We ordered food 2 Wks ago and my mom Loved it! Every time I order gold bowl for the family we get a lot of food and usually drop around $100. If there's ever an issue with the food, I know they'll make it right. About to order more food right now. Yum! 10/18/21 UPDATE: I just had THE BEST egg roll!!! When i ordered online I made a request in the comments. I guess they don't know how you like it unless you tell them 🤔. Ordered a sm. House loMain and an egg roll. The egg roll was soggy at one end, enough to soog through the bag.

Great food at a great price. My wife and I ate here today for lunch. They have lunch specials which run $10 to $12 and is served daily 11 to 3pm. With the lunch you get a choice of appetizer, rice (white, brown or pork fried rice) and your main meal. The portions are generous. The service is fast and overall a great lunch. I ordered a lo mein dish not on the lunch special. It was delicious. We will absolutely be back

I used to love getting food from this place - it was the best! Used to always get Singapore noodles which were fantastic, but then they started getting to be like fire noodles - so spicy I could not eat them - so I stopped ordering for awhile - I tried again tonight, and they were better, more like before, but I got sweet & sour chicken with rice for my daughter & got greasy dough-laden fried chicken "fingers" with dipping sauce - and the battered fried chicken was gross - I threw it out! I thought it would be a nice chicken dish with sauce & veggies to put over rice - what a waste of money! I don't know what happened to this place but not...

I will never order my food again from Gold bowl in fitchburg!! I had 2 bad experiences here. 1) chicken wings were dry as if they re-cooked them from the day before. Called told woman the issue, her reply was I DIDN'T ASK FOR JUICY ONES!!! 2) Ordered 1 order of Happy family they delivered 2 orders! I called they came give me 20.00 & took the food back!!!!! Makes me think they re-sold the extra oder!!!! I never heard of an establishment that comes to your door to take food back & give you 20.00 !!!!!!! I will NEVER eat here again. What I should do is call the BOARD OF...
