We stayed in Brookings South Dakota for the night, but having spent most of our lives living on the Mexican border in California and Texas we are always on the lookout for good Mexican food. My husband saw Rinconsito on line so we decided to head here for lunch before going to Pipestone National Park. So glad we did. The service was fantastic. The owner was so sweet. My husband, son, and I all ordered different things and all loved them, and she surprised us with a complimentary plate of bunuelos with chocolate drizzle and homemade whipped cream that were to die for after learning we were from out of state. I eat at El Rinconsito a lot and absolutely love this place. I order chilli Colorado Everytime. When I come in, it's ALWAYS hi and how are you?.. I ALWAYS feel seen. It's the customer service and the food that's makes me keep coming back. The flavors are Devine. When COVID was a massive issue .. I lost my taste for along time. Ate chilli Colorado and I could taste again. It's a family who runs it.. by the end of the meal I feel like family . Thank you El Rinconsito for making every experience 1 to remember. In my opinion, in the best Mexican restaurants, most of the customers are speaking Spanish, and that's what you have here—which tells you that the Mexican food here is as authentic as it gets.
