Maude's Alabama BBQ (Flint) — Restaurant in Flint

Maude's Alabama BBQ is must eat at restaurant in the Flint metro! The wait in driving time to get to Maude's is worth it! The wait for your order is worth it! The BBQ reflects the flavors and recipes of Alabama. The offerings are what you expect and hope to find at a good BBQ joint! The BBQ sauce is flavorful and barely tips toward the sweet sweet side of scale. It is delightful on the pulled pork, chicken, brisket, and ribs. The portions are filling. The side dishes are varied and tasty! My favorite sides are the baked beans and fried okra! They sell their own seasoning mixes for chicken and pork. They have homemade desserts. They have their "Alabama White Sauce" for purchase.

The restaurant is clean and brightly lit with several large windows. Note: they do not have a public restroom. The staff are efficient, friendly, and helpful! We live the staff.

Maude's is located on Davison Rd. just east of Dort Highway. They have a location in Lapeer, which has been opened going on 2 years.

ANOTHER 1 BITES THE DUST

I’m assuming they gave me old food for the week before because They are closed Sunday and I ordered monday.. Wow I am so shocked - I spent 80 dollars on delivery because this food was sooooo delicious when I had it a month ago. When I tell you that tonight it was sour and everything was old! I was completely shocked and wanted my back immediately but I am going to have to just take it as a loss unfortunately because I ordered thru an app. Mac and cheese old dry, beans old , the ribs old and cold, the brisket super thick and full of fat, not sliced at all, I don’t feel well ad I’m typing if I’m being honest and I ate about 2hours ago, tummy ache and nauseas. I will never try them again. They said they’d send extra bbq and didn’t , I called ahead to be sure and they still didn’t add it. So I’m not only was it not right, it also barely had any sauce.

I’m still shook that 80 of my dollars went down the drain because i trusted that this was a restaurant that offered quality and...

Pending review on recent order. I wasn't satisfied, and Olivia assured me that I would be made whole. My first ever visit maybe a year ago was great. Rib tips were nice, firm yet tender, and sauced just right. The cornbread was really good, the rest of the sides well, kinda blah. 2nd visit today 2024 the okra was amazing. Potato dippers were nice and hot, but there was no dip. I will update this review once Olivia and I get these burnt ends together. The service here is exceptional! The lady coloring in the lobby was amazing.

Update: Olivia came through, as she promised. This time, the ends we're much better. A bit too much sauce for my taste. The burnt ends were tasty but didn't seem smoked to me. Ijs. Good nonetheless!
