Acai Express — Restaurant in Florence

Being a noob to the vegetarian world and in a area of SC where Vegetarian/vegan restaurants are not abundant, I'm always up for a healthy delicious treat when I'm out and about. One night I stumble upon Acai Express and didn't hesitate to place my order. It was a dragon fruit cup( I quickly placed an order before I started my 10-25 minutes food debate so I can't quite remember the name). The workers where polite and courteous. When she called me up to collect my order, I had to suppress my excitement. It looked so beautiful!! I didnt want to eat it. I rushed home, grabbed a spoon, took a dip into the organic, organized orchestra of fruits and granola and melted when I felt/tasted the flavors. It was harmonious with flavor. And the honey!! THE HONEY!! I would have never thought to use honey in the way that they do! Absolutely Amazing!! Give them try!! Also I had the Zesty Avocado Toast. It made me so full and relaxed I went to sleep and woke up still walking on...

So I used to go here religiously for 2 years. I'm this area and I'm always passing through on the go. The food, the staff, the quickness of it is what kept me coming back blowing my budget. The convenience of it, and wifi and clean restrooms were pluses on top of pluses. One time I came in 5 minutes before closing knowing the staff was going to be mad, but they didn't turn me away and was nice as always! Of course I tipped extra that day. The reason why I stopped was the manager/owner. Her attitude needs work. That is an understatement. I've seen her be rude to her workers and I had trouble with a refund one time. I had to leave take a breather to continue the confrontation. I stopped for a while, and when I came back, it was the same great food the same great staff shout out to the young men and women who are now in college (I know y'all succeed!!). But it was her same attitude, so I said goodbye for the last time. Don't hold the staff accountable for her mood....

Great food and very friendly service. Everyone I’ve interacted with that works here has always been super nice and accommodating. They have a lot of great options for açaí and dragonfruit bowls. Lots of options for people with food allergies too (just be sure to ask which bowls or items might have dairy and/or any other allergens you might have). Also, the amount of food you get in the bowl is definitely a great value in my opinion..almost every time I get one of their dragonfruit bowls I’ll eat half and then freeze the other half for the next day (unless i’m really hungry) but you get a big portion of delicious fruit for $10 when you get one of their açaí /dragonfruit bowls (much bigger than most other restaurants I’ve been to that also serve these fruit bowls).
