My wife and I ate at Brandin’ Iron for our anniversary yesterday. We had to readjust plans last minute and found out about this place last minute. My mom grew up in Florence and I have fond memories of playing at my grandparents house growing up.
Main Street has a cool atmosphere with older buildings of the late 1800’s. Nothing was open except the restaurant and that’s where all 20 cars on main were parked. The building is an old opera house. Whoever renovated it did an excellent job. It’s beautiful with lots of history inside. We arrived after 1pm so they had ran out of some of the sides but I got the chicken fried steak special and my wife got the pulled pork sandwich. Our sides were mashed potatoes, fries, and Brussels sprouts. The food was all amazing and well portioned. It truly tasted like a home cooked meal. The pricing was good as well. The family that runs the restaurant also owns the ranch they get their meat from from my understanding.
After we finished eating we also ordered 6 lbs of frozen burger. Can’t wait to try it. Thanks for the great experience! (Worth a trip from...
Read moreThis is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to we randomly stopped in this random town and ate here and it’s the best service I have ever gotten with the best cooks making the most perfect food. The fried food (I had fried pickles and onion rings) and so good it’s good batter used and all the food is really good quality. This deserves more than 5 stars and everyone should come here it’s amazing. The drinks come in cute jars and there are flavors (vanilla, cherry, and peach) that you could add into a soda or tea and it’s so good. There is a pink sauce that was AMAZING. That’s the best experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant I HAD to write a review which I normally never do. Jesus loves you so much He died for you on the cross He is waiting for you with...
Read moreThe spacious and welcoming restaurant is on the first floor of a grand 1884 three-story native limestone Opera House. Windmill blades rotating slowly on the high ceiling add to the charm and history of this delightfully fun restaurant. A great menu, a full bar, and a witty/enjoyable wait staff all combined to provide an experience well worth the drive to this 151-year old former railroad town at the junction of US 50 & US 77. Our table enjoyed the Steak and Blue Salad; the Apple and Cranberry Salad with grilled chicken, pecans and herbed goat cheese; and burgers served with fries and an especially delicious house-made pasta salad. We will return! Check out the limestone houses...
