Town & Country Cafe — Restaurant in Florence

I can't say enough about this middle of nowhere Cafe in Florence, KS. We stop here each week on our way to wichita for a piece of pie. The food is good, but the pie, oh my. So far we haven't tried a piece we didn't like. If u want the best selection, go on the weekends bc I believe they get pies on Friday. Try the strawberry rhubarb, pistachio or lemon suprise- u won't be disappointed. Also I can't forget to mention that the folks who work here good people. Yes, this place is a local hangout, but I've never felt like a stranger here. If u drive a big rig, there is ample parking...

Not a terrible place but we didnt have a good experience. The service was lacking and very slow. We where there maybe an hour and where visited twice in between our order and getting are food. Prices where ok for the amount of food. The food was good. I did notice they microwaved some plates as they must have sat to long and got somewhat cold. Bathrooms where so so. Service. Very friendly staff. Enjoyable to talk to. Always had a smile, and proactively offered refills on drinks, but not the most expedient from start to finish.

Price. Seemed a bit pricey for what we got. Prime Rib for $16, but the quality of the cut did not warrant that.

Ambiance. Nice 1950s diner theme. Clean and easy to find. Plastic bowls with shaky steak knives but clean and good to go. Good hours.
