Rick's Barbecue — Restaurant in Florence

I debated on multiple occasions as to leave reviews. Obviously, my husband was livid and counldnt wait. Our wedding was in April and after the most embarising attempt at catering, we could still enjoyed our wedding and have happy memories without the meal. After spending a weekend in Florence and speaking to many people, ricks catering came up. All the failed attempts at catering is just ridiculous. Grieving people after a loss of a loved one and couldn’t even get a decent meal is beyond pathetic! If a company cannot care enough about the birth of happiness or a death of a love one, how dare you waste your time in catering. I kept my silence while you failed at providing anything we ordered for our wedding and your staff blamed us for your failed attempts at catering while my father refilled your buffet and your staff watched and then gladly handed over a check but how dare you not even provide a decent meal to people grieving for their lost ones. Your company should flat out be ashamed of yourself! I didn’t dare ask for a refund or any money in return but to better it for future paying customers to have a better experience and your company could not even do that. You should be embarrassed! Way to put the customer first.

*I would also like to add that the local owner added the lovely comment on a previous review that the food is always fresh but never frozen. That is an ironic statement since the food our guests were informed we were out of was still frozen in vacuumed sealed bags. Always fresh and never...

We always go to this Rick's! They always give fresh food consistently. Trying to talk my wife into grabbing a salad topped with that amazing ham tonight! Any protein is a winner here! Chicken is sensational! Pork is their signature dish! Enough said... you would think. But you can't talk about Rick's without mentioning that Idaho Red Potato! It's the stuff dreams are made of. My wife loves the ham sandwich. Not a fan of mayo, so she gets hers with just the pickle. I'm also a fan of that slaw dog. I need mine with the mustard slaw personally. I'm going to wrap this up because I feel like I'm advertising at this point. But I feel I have to let all of you know about the chicken sandwich with mustard slaw is also a hard hitter, getting white sauce with this pairing is also a winning move. Rick's chicken tenders are very good as is their barbecue however some of their barbecue chicken is not as good as other barbecue restaurants in the area.

Rick's is also not as customer friendly as often times they charge you for little things and make you feel as if it's nickel and diming you if you won't or need additional condiments.

There are a few things about rakes that could be improved but overall Rex gives you a great dining experience at a decent price. Just know that some of their things are precooked off-site and brought to the restaurant and then warmed up. The chicken tenders however are cooked fresh at the time you order them as is the french fries and a few other things.
