TLDR: We had a lovely visit to Windmill Winery. If I lived in Arizona, I’d be frequenting this place… uh… frequently šŸ˜‚ The wine is good, the atmosphere is phenomenal, and the whole experience is lovely.

We were able to walk the grounds a bit (see videos) even though there were a couple private events going on, so we weren’t able to see ā€œthe barnā€ but I hear it’s beautiful! We went into the tasting room and ended up moving outside to sit since the weather was so mild. There were fire pits set out in various places throughout the seating area, and a fairly large stage for live music (there wasn’t any at the time we visited which was around 1pm.

I had the Granada, which was a white wine with berry juices and tasted like sweet tarts 🤤 and he had the Chardonnay, which to me, tasted more like a cross between a Pinot Grigio and a Sauvignon Blanc. I’m not generally a chard fan, but this wasn’t super dry and I quite enjoyed it. I also had a sip of the Symphony, which was very tart and dry- almost like a chard/sauvignon blanc mix. We wished we could’ve taken some wine home to Michigan, but we only brought carry-on size luggage and weren’t going to pay to check a bag šŸ˜‚.

Would definitely return if given the chance.

This local venue is the perfect place to wind down the day or escape the summer heat under a tree-shaded garden area. The wine tasting room includes a bar that features a variety of wines and stock liquors. You can sample wines in cozy seating areas or at the bar "where everyone knows your name" (during the off-season) ambiance.

Food options are limited to salads, veggies & cheese snacks, and an assortment of flatbreads during the summer. Food trucks are available during the high season (September through May).

On Saturday evenings, live entertainment is from 5 to 8 pm. Check the website for local talent.

The wine tasting room displays products from local businesses and artisans in southern AZ. Support & buy local!

PRO Tip: Call beforehand to book the latest wine-tasting session available. Then spend the early evening enjoying a bottle with friends in the garden, inside, or on the...

This was a cute, romantic place to come and getaway with your loved one. We came on a Saturday evening and got to enjoy a bottle of Rose wine, Charcuterie box and LIVE SAX! We were outdoors, there are plenty of seating areas, cute benches and high chairs with misters. Patio lights all around. We wanted to explore the area and check out the scenic views but it was closed due an event going on. Initially came to enjoy the $13 flights but was told that was done earlier in the day. I also noted the horse carriage tours $5 per person but I don't think it was available. Overall experience was great! Entry is free. Everything was pretty affordable considering we got to enjoy live entertainment! Wine bottles range from $30+ you can get by glass. Charcuterie was $26 but they do have cheaper snacks. Looking forward to coming back for...
