ridiculous, ordered a Breakfast Combination (Desayuno CombinaciĂłn) and a Steak Eggs Palomilla Breakfast (Bistec a Caballo) for delivery on doordash. I placed my order at 12:30 and around 12:55 realized the order hadnt been confirmed yet (its normally confirmed/denied withing minutes of placing order). I called the restaurant to ask if they were accepting doordash orders currently and the employee said she went ahead and accepted mine while we were on the phone. Waited another 30ish minutes and received nothing but a small tray of croquetas. Didnt accept the order since that was not what i paid for and called the store. The store told me to bring the croquetas back and they will give me what i originally ordered. I ordered this for delivery since i live quite a ways away, the store refused to deliver it saying there was only 1 employee. Eventually they told me if i can come by the store, they will give me the food i ordered at no extra cost. Once i got to the store they tried giving me a different order again !!!!! My meal was supposed to have a cafe con leche y una tostada. They gave me a nica breakfast which has gallo pinto and no tostada or cafe con leche. The employee argued with my boyfriend and i saying they wouldnt give me my cafe con leche since it wasnt apart of my order. The employee said that whoever accepted my order actually put in a nica breakfast instead of my Breakfast Combination (Desayuno CombinaciĂłn) and because of that i cannot receive my coffee and bread (even though my doordash receipt shows my correct order). She then offered to place me a new order for my Breakfast Combination (Desayuno CombinaciĂłn) for me to pay and get what i was supposed to have received. They kept going back and forth with us and eventually agreed to just make my coffee and tostada. They argued about the order they had on their end vs what my doordash reciept shows for sooo long that a new customer walked in, waited for 5 minutes, not a single employee acknowledged her so she walked out and left! Another employee eventually walks out from the back and discovered that their system had my order with my Breakfast Combination (Desayuno CombinaciĂłn)correct the whole time and never said nica breakfast. Couldve been eating my food like 2 hours ago when it was actually breakfast time but no. Instead i had to spend my morning arguing with a restaurant who was in the wrong the whole time. They also lied saying there was only 1 employee so noone could redeliver my order (when i got there , there was at least 4 women in the restaurant). Very unprofessional. This used to be my go to spot for cafe con leche and a quick breakfast when i was in the area but not any longer. Update: Just got home to actually eat, Food was very supbar compared to previous times ive eaten there. Gallo pinto did not taste right and the palomilla steak was insanely dry and tasted like it was only seasoned with lime juice. My order was supposed to have french fries and they gave me a side of orange...
Read moreNestled in a small obscure plaza, on the outstretch of Redland agriculture, Palm Bakery has had a few changes since its inception. Catering to Latin cuisine, you have your usual pastalitos, croquettes, Cuban sandwiches, etc. Long gone are the mad rush hay days. Now it's a different kind of mad rush. Mad is the key, & rush, not so much. The organization/management is strange, to say the least. Come with your patience in tow... you're going to need it. Now a days, Palm Bakery seems to draw a smaller crowd, but the wait seems agonizingly the same. The food is average overall. I particularly like their ham croquettes & Pan de Bono with cafe con leche, dark, no sugar, but they always put the sugar. There's a communication disconnect somewhere to say it nicely. It helps if you speak Spanish otherwise something is sure to be wrong with your order. You won't know til later so check your orders while you're still on the premises. Yes there's a lot of ppl there & you just wanna go. Take care navigating the nutty one way in, one way out parking lot. Spaces are vender assigned, so use your best judgment. There is no table service, no bathroom. The few tables available are usually taken up by nice folks just waiting for their orders. Be patient, there will be waiting. Did I mention waiting? Still, it's a bakery that serves daily breakfast & lunch specials that won't break your wallet. Pastalitos, coffees, & Cuban bread are usually reliable, but you still have to wait. Watch out for that jerk that's always parked in the fire zone, blocking everything. For Gods sake, some of these jerks are working on their cars!! What a terrible way to run a plaza. PB can use an upgrade. It's showing its age. Parking can be a frustrating experience, especially if you don't have patience nor a compact. Come with your mopeds when you have...

This bakery is not worth it. All the time the pastries are stale, the bread taste and feels even looks like itâs been sitting out for a day or two (maybe longer) the previous owners had this bakery on my top list and now this bakery isnât even on my list to go to anymore. Itâs expensive for no reason (Pincrest Bakery is definitely cheaper and so good and fresh) this bakery has come down a lot and the people there seem like they hate their jobs. Sucks this bakery lost its original owner this isnât good...
