I took my 3 kids and my oldest son's girlfriend to eat at Beach Buzz today because it was close to where we were at the time, the Google reviews were pretty good, and the food in the photos looked pretty good (except that raw, uncooked burger photo 🤮). It was our first time eating at the restaurant.
The restaurant was clean, and the staff was pleasant and attentive. It wasn't busy at all, and we were seated right away. Our server greeted us immediately, was very attentive, kept our drinks full the entire time, and was genuinely pleasant. So far, so good.
Everything was great so far, but our food seemed to take quite a while to get to us even though the place seemed pretty slow. It wasn't an unacceptable amount of time, but it was something I thought about as we waited.
When our food arrived, is when my ratings for this place dive bombed. The food was awful. I ordered the Cuban sandwich because it was on special, and our server said it was really good. My son ordered the shrimp tacos, his girlfriend ordered a bacon cheeseburger, my daughter ordered an avocado cheeseburger, and my youngest son ordered the boneless hot wings.
The Cuban sandwich comes on a hogie roll that is flattered and cooked in a panini press. The bottom entire bottom of my hogie roll was burnt black and was hard as a rock. The pork was the dryest pork I've ever eaten. It was a charged bitter brick. It was disgusting. Both of the burgers were cooked well done even though medium well was ordered, and we're as dry and tasteless as I've ever had. The bacon was as burned as the bottom of my hogie paninj press disaster. The boneless chicken wings were dry and hard to chew, with very little sauce on them. At least they weren't burnt, right? My son said his shrimp tacos were decent and edible. He's the only one who finished his meal.
I didn't complain because we were in a rush at this point. I still left a $20 tip on our $100 meal for the server because It wasn't her fault, and she did a good job. I'm going to just assume they would have taken care of the issue had I complained because I have no indication that they wouldn't have.
That food was bad, though. I mean, really bad. Whoever was in the kitchen tonight either didn't know what they were doing, or they were so spaced out they cooked everything way too long. Maybe a little of both. However, I won't be back.

Read moreDecided to stop & give Beach Buzz a try today (a Sunday morning, 11ish.) There were several tables already in the dining area. We were greeted immediately by Cassie who was also our server. The menu has a great variety & we were pleased to see an offering of a brunch & cocktail menu too! We ordered the wisconsin cheesecurds for an appetizer. 2 people in our group ordered omlettes which came w/ tots. The fish sandwich & wings were delicious too. Cassie informed us of an extended wait time when we ordered, she was the only server on & there were only 2 cooks in the kitchen. We didn't mind at all, as we were visiting with our group & it was nice to enjoy an easy going Sunday morning together. We did wait probably almost an hour for our food, luckily we had gotten the appetizer. Everything came out hot & fresh & flavorful. Every interaction with all employees was excellent, very friendly people & was glad they communicated the wait time with us & they were so appreciative of our business. Cassie was busting her butt, running around both sides of the dining rooms, couldn't even guess how many tables she was taking care of! I was uphalled to see others were not so kind & patient & heard a table near by complaining of a wait time & being extremely impatient. Sunday morning, dining out, please be patient & reasonable with these people, out here working hard to take care of everyone. That table left under a 10% tip, as I noticed on the credit card slip on our way out- that is not ok! If that's your attitude, McDonald's is right down the road. Read moreThis was our third and last visit. Since they opened, we have visited three times. First visit was amazing, yet shortly after they opened. So good in fact, that we were zealous to inform our friends and family that they should try it. Second visit (4/7/24) was different in service. Server forgot our drinks from the bar, and after 20 minutes of watching them water down I got up myself to pick up while bartender sat on her phone and server no where in sight. Third visit (4/14/24) we try it again thinking the last service was a fluke. Ordered food and watched two new tables sat minutes afterwards. After both of those tables received their food, we another server (not our original) checked in to see if we were ok, and informed her we have not received our food. 35 minutes after ordering our food, the original server came to to table to apologize that she had unfortunately placed our order later than taken and was advised the food would be an additional 7 minutes from that point until our food would be ready. We declined the order just placed in, and decided to leave after leaving 20 bucks for the two drinks..upon leaving o asked to see if a manager was available, and our server walked out and informed me she was the manager. In a nut shell, I hope the owner decides to contact us for the full story to confirm on those cameras he has up in the bar portion.
