Food was decent, it was fresh and hot, and the service was at a decent pace.
But, there were lots of holes in this sinking ship of a restaurant.
The employees,
It seemed like there was a heavy atmosphere of stress in the restaurant that was daunting to present it's self to it's inhabitants.
The manager was snappy and unforgiving with their employees, treating them as if they were below themselves, and it really showed in the way the employees carried themselves.
The manager made comments on the lines of " go away im busy" when ever someone would ask a question, or try to respectfully probably get some down time.
Cleanliness.
To say the least, it was late afternoon (3 pm ) when i had come in, and the place was a mess.
But was it because of the time of day? I'd say not.
There were flies, that had long made their home in this restaurant, you could make a game out of counting them there were so many ( I counted around 10 by the way in the dining area as I sat down)
The floor was also filthy, as well as the tables, that had seemed to not had been wiped that whole day.
The both seats were also ripped.
Carelessness.
It seemed like there was a general lack of care put into the work these people did, which translated to me a lack of care from the manager themselves.
The oil used to fry the food i was consuming was old, and it showed, as onion rings have a prominent taste when you're eating chicken nuggets.
In conclusion, the food was not terrible, and the service was okay, but there's too much to work on, I'd not recommend coming to this restaurant until they've gotten their...
Read moreMy wife and I placed and paid for our order online and were looking forward to a relaxing meal after a long week.
Unfortunately, our experience at the drive-thru did not meet expectations. Upon arriving at the window, the staff member who greeted us seemed unprepared, awkwardly standing and waiting for a payment that had already been processed online. While this was a small oversight, it indicated a lack of attention to order tracking.
More troubling was the comment made as he reviewed our order(which was said multiple times): “OMG you have such a big order.” This remark felt unnecessary and made us feel uncomfortable and judged for the size of our meal, which was meant for two people. Following that, he left the window to chat with colleagues in the back while another team member (who was polite and apologetic) completed our order.
On top of all that, the ice cream machine wasn’t working, so my wife, who already felt a bit embarrassed, simply asked for a Hershey’s pie instead. We didn’t receive any straws either, which added to the sense that the order was rushed and not properly completed.
We chose your restaurant for a convenient and pleasant dinner, but this experience left us feeling disrespected and disappointed. We hope you’ll take this feedback seriously and provide better training to ensure all guests are treated with professionalism and courtesy.
That being said we will take the extra 5 minutes to go to the BK in Ocala as they won’t make you feel bad for...
Read moreI've been going to this BK on and off for years and have always kept a low expectation that my order would be right or fresh since they've had a lot of mishaps. But tonight, oh tonight, they had it perfect and on a very large order. Everything was fresh, tasty, and crispy. I was checking the order after receiving it and the guy at the window asked if I had everything and legitimately sounded worried. What a cool guy. What makes for a good show is a great redemption arc and it seems it's finally arrived.
If you've made it this far, well I too have nothing better to do right now. My favorite memory of this store is around 3 years ago when a manager, I think Tom (but I'm not certain, so don't quote me on it), slammed his keys on the counter after a customer was throwing a fit about the wait time on his order. They were clearly running on low staff and struggling but hey, that's life sometimes. Tom said to the customer, "You wanna run this store?!? It's my birthday and my manager is on vacation." Customers face was great. Oh, good times. Anyhow, I hope Tom is well, whoever or wherever he is.
Life is about enjoying the good moments and tonight was one of them. Seems BK is back on the menu boys. Now if we could just do something about that light that's been hardcore rave blinking in the parking lot for...
