Cattle Dog Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Homosassa Springs

Stopped by for stocking stuffers & had my mind blown. Always prefer local coffee shops/roasters & I have to admit Cattle Dog is almost overwhelming with choices. Yes, they have food & a nice selection of loose leaf teas, but I'm all about the coffee. Left the store with 12 oz. bags each of Panamanian regular & Costa Rican decaf for under $30. The bulk of coffee they offer is whole bean, but they will grind your beans while you wait for whichever method of brewing you prefer (espresso, pour over, drip, etc.).

The store is very quaint & clean. Convenient, free parking. Plenty of indoor seating as well as a few outdoor tables. Staff is extremely helpful & super friendly. If you're having trouble selecting a bean, they can definitely steer you in the right direction. If there's something you want you don't see on the shelves (Costa Rican Decaf with Vanilla for example), they can have it within a day or two straight from their local warehouse.

Don't bother wasting your time and money with Starbucks premade and shipped to store food and beverages - Cattle Dog Coffee Roasters is 1000% better! The food is absolutely delicious with all recipes created by a professional, award winning chef! They serve fresh made-to-order breakfast and lunch, along with homemade baked good and a large selection of coffee and tea drinks. They have items that are always served but they also have new items every three months.CDCR also carries their own personally roasted and prepared varieties of coffee beans, ground coffee, k-cups and pods. In addition to coffee, they also have a fairly large assortment of teas for brewing at home. All coffee and tea products are also available for shipping. Before we moved here, we always bought our coffee beans from Starbucks. Now, even though there is a local Starbucks, we only buy our coffee beans from CDCR. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! Surpassed all of my expectations, and checked every single box. The staff are personable and knowledgeable, friendly to greet you and happy to help you. ✅ The food came out super quick, cooked to perfection, and piping hot! Couldn’t have asked for anything more. ✅ I got the Hampton BLT and wow I was impressed. The sourdough bread was toasted just right, the avocado spread was fresh, and seasoned perfectly, the bacon was thick cut and cooked just right! The veggies were fresh and delicious, and topped with an immaculate over medium egg. To drink, I got the Carmelita- a Carmel white chocolate latte that was to die for!! The atmosphere of this place is exactly what a coffee shop should be: inviting, decorated, friendly, welcoming and relaxing. ✅ Friends chatting, businessmen discussing, old friends reuniting, and family laughing. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone and everyone....
