Charlotte Fish Depot — Restaurant in Florida

I searched Google maps to find a good fish market so I could buy dinner. I decided to check this place out to get some fresh fish. On their website it said come in for our fresh off the boat specials. So I went in and asked what was the fresh off the boat special. The lady behind the counter said with a unhappy time what you see is what we have. I said thank you very much and left to go down the road to Winn-Dixie and purchased a fresh large red snapper $6.99lb from a meat person that was more than happy to help me out.

If you want to charge a premium price it needs to come with premium service. I always try to shop small business first. Even if it cost a little more. But if it's a hassle to help the customer I'm ok going...

I was extremely please!! Very informative! Very pleasant!! I was extremely impressed! Working in the medical field I’m very observant of glove changes and what people touch with their gloves on! The man helping me was very vigilant with changing his gloves and cross contamination! I had to laugh because a lady came in and stole my spot in line ( after I had been waiting for the 4 people in front of me) then she stole my lobster I had sitting at the counter to check out lol. OK, I'm done! I've been buying my seafood here for a number of years and always been happy...until now. A week or two ago I bought some fresh cod and a pound of the larger sized Key West shrimp...all good! I went back this week and bought some swordfish, scallops and large Key West shrimp. Swordfish was good, larger sized Key West shrimp turned out to be very small shrimp, more than double the amount of the week before...which is ok...if you want small shrimp. Now the fresh (?) scallops...I'm pretty sure that fresh scallops aren't supposed to taste like ammonia! Tried one...tossed the rest. Probably from the same batch that were there the week before.
