China Garden Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Florida

I would have given 4 stars, but I called at 701pm placed my order for 3 items was told it would be ready at in 30min. I arrived at 721 I told the man I was here to pick up my order and paid. He said it was ready but just a few min more which was fine since I was early. At 759 my food was ready. If your 5 min late that's fine. But not 30 min late. That was not acceptable for a take out place. Now let's review the food Food was hot and fresh I had zero complaints there. I love Chinese food the price was very fair so no complaints there. WOULD I RETURN NO, I have a Chinese place that I go to on a regular base. Only reason why I came here was because.my normal place is closed on Mondays and I was craving Chinese food. If you tell me 30 min I expect it in 30-35, not 1 hour, or at least offer a free drink while you make someone wait an extra 30 min. First off, I would like to say that the food is good (not great) and reasonably priced. The reason I only gave 1 star is because of how long it took the delivery driver to get to my house. I was told that the wait time was 40-45 min. Which is fine (especially on a Friday night). We waited 2 HOURS!!!!! I called multiple times to ask if they forgot about us, or if they were still coming. The man and the woman answering the phone told me that it was on its way! Which needless to say was a LIE. Finally, our dinner arrived at 9:15pm. When the man came to our door, we let him know VERY POLITELY THAT THIS WAS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! He agreed of course, but still wouldn’t give us any money off, or at least something for our troubles. We shop at the Publix in this plaza all the time but never noticed this restaurant until now and decided to try it. The food was EXCELLENT! Very nice guy running it and clean tables. We were there early for dinner and food didn't take very long. The portions were huge, the eggrolls crispy and all food HOT. I got the combo plate (11.95) which was Sweet & Sour Chicken, egg roll but I got white rice instead, cooked perfectly and more than I could eat.
