Davila's Pizza — Restaurant in Florida

This review is more of a buyer be aware than a rant. Instead of going next door to Publix for my favorite Italian pub sub, thought I’d give Davilas a try, as wanted to dine in, while catching up on my work notes. I’ve been here many times before, as like their pizza and wings!!! I ordered their Ultimate Italian Sub, and asked for a little extra garden (lettuce, tomato, and onion) just like I order at Publix. The sub was heated, I didn’t like the taste of the ham, so took it off, as too salty for me. I got a side of fries ($3.50 extra) and a soda. The meal wasn’t bad, but the worst part (here comes your warning) is when the bill arrived, it was almost $25!!! I was evidently charged $3.49 extra for the little bit of extra garden that I had asked for, and wasn’t forewarned of the potential upcharge. I asked to speak to the manager, but none was on site, the wait staff said that they just put the order into their computer system, and the extra charges are there, no recourse given! So, after giving the waitress 20% tip, it was almost $30 for a sub, fries, and Pepsi. Expensive lunch, wow!!! I suggested that staff have a meeting, that the wait staff should alert the customers of any up charges. Had I known that a $13 sub was gonna be a $16.50 sub, I would’ve just got without any extras. Needless to say, I won’t be going back for a sub, shoulda just got a pub sub. I could have bought 3 subs for $30!!! Publix never charges me extra for extra garden. Sorry Davilas,...

This place is HORRIBLE... and it is really is too bad being that there is not much else around in the area. I don't even know where to start. I thought I would give it one more shot tonight. Someone should have me committed. I don't know which is worse... the service or the food. Way overstaffed. Disorganized. While sitting there we heard them get 3 other orders incorrect (they also messed up our order.) Watery pasta, over-cooked with boring marinara.... nasty boiled grey meatballs that they forgot and brought out later sitting alone in a bowl... how unappetizing can you get! No bread to start or even the offer of it. Don't get more silverware that is needed and have to snag it ourselves from another nearby table. Too damn cold inside. I don't ever write reviews... but I have to say something about this place. I was starving so I choked it down... I left the place mad at them and myself for even going again after our other horrible experiences there... Well my wife and I just made a solemn pact to never go there again no matter how tired and hungry we were. I should also add that they say they have slices on their menu... and they never seem to have any available... I could go on but I am going to stop myself... I am trying to have a nice remainder of...

After two years of online ordering for delivery to my home, Davila's site now says my address doesn't exist. It suggests the address of the house across the street. I have tried many times to edit the address or try to enter it as a new one but it will not accept my address. Over the past several weeks I've messaged Davila's twice and stopped into the store I've always ordered from. The very nice manager took my information and asked questions about the problem and said she would contact the owner. I have never heard a word from anyone. I shouldn't have to work this hard to continue to be their customer, so I'm not going to any more. I like their food but it's not worth the battle.

Edited to add reply to owner: A few hours after reading your response to my review I did talk to the manager of that store and she said she hadn't heard anything about you expecting a call from me. She said she'd call you. I still haven't heard anything from anyone. The manager has my contact info if you want it but I'm not going to put any more time and...
