Janejira Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Gifford

Thank you thank you for opening up an authentic Thai Resturant in Vero. I’ve been there twice. I will be going at least once a week. I only live 5 min away!!!

First visit I had the papaya shrimp salad which was the perfect size with 2 large shrimp, I’ve always got tiny shrimp elsewhere so that was a surprise, also fried tofu app. Both delish and made to perfection. Yesterday I got two of my favorites, drunken noodle tofu, very tasty moist with perfect heat and curry puffs just the way I like them, again perfection. I also got the mango with sticky rice, yum yum!! I’m already thinking of what I’m going to order next time I go.

I was greeted with a smile and only waited about 10-12 min for my to go order that I ordered there.

I am a Thai snob. I’ve been to places around town that claim to cook Thai food that was sub-par. Finally we have authentic Thai in Vero. Many years ago I worked at a Thai Resturant so I know how it’s done. Thai food is so clean and delicious. Can you tell I’m head over heels. What more can I say except I can’t wait to make it through the menu and back again. Love love.

I recently ordered the Papaya Salad with Shrimp and the Summer Rolls from Janejira, and I was pretty disappointed with my experience. The Papaya Salad was a tiny portion size for takeout, and to my surprise, it only contained two shrimp. This was a letdown, as I expected a more substantial and balanced dish. In addition, the portion had large pieces of iceberg lettuce to fill up the dish.

Similarly, the Summer Rolls didn't meet my expectations either. They contained just half of a shrimp in each roll, and were mainly filled with lettuce. I would like a more flavorful and well-balanced combination of ingredients in the rolls. Overall, my experience with Janejira differed from what I had hoped for in terms of portion sizes and the quality of the dishes. I hope they can improve in the future, as it would make for a more satisfying...

We ordered takeout - Pad Thai w/chicken and Panang Curry w/shrimp - both dishes were fabulous! The spice level on the Panang Curry was spot on and the dish was packed with vegetables and shrimp. The Pad Thai had great flavor too and a very generous portion for the lunch size. A spring roll came with each dish and these were great as well - the wrap was crisp (not dry and tough as they can be sometimes) and the roll was packed with veggies. They placed a divider between our take-out dishes to absorb the steam and prevent the dishes from collapsing onto each other during transport - a welcomed and very nice courtesy. Happy to say Vero now has a great place to get Thai food! Already looking forward to my...
