Diromio's Pizza And Grill — Restaurant in Florida

Diromio's catered food for my Dad's 80th birthday dinner party for a large crowd on Saturday and the food and service were excellent. We had family drive in from Tampa FL, NE FL, Alabama, and other family fly in from Puerto Rico and Texas, so it was a big deal and I was hoping and praying the food would be excellent! We all stayed at an Airbnb at Solterra Resort in Davenport for 4 days for the party and the food was delivered on time. The food was a hit - everyone at the party loved the food and asked where it came from. I picked Diromios based on the reviews. I called them a couple of weeks ahead of time and arranged the catering over the phone. We ordered Lasagna, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, Eggplant Parmesan, Antipasto, Caesar Salad, & Garlic Knots. The day of the catering, we had an issue with my bank running my card for payment because my bank flagged it as a possible fraud (my fault for not alerting my bank ahead of time that we would be out of town and using the card for a large purchase.) After I contacted my bank and straightened it out I called Diromio's and they re-ran my card info manually, however they were having issues on their end processing the card manually and asked me to come in person to run the physical card. They were very apologetic about me having to go in person but my husband and I went and by the time we got there the payment had gone through successfully on my account without having to run the physical card and we were able to get everything straightened out. For the trouble of having to go in person, my husband and I were offered dessert and beverage on the house. My husband had the Key Lime Tart and I had the New York Cheesecake with Strawberry Topping. We thought she was going to give us two drinks in to-go cups but she brought us a cold 2 liter bottle of soda which we thought was awesome! The desserts were to die for! Very pleased with both the food and service. Highly recommend Diromio's for delicious Italian food and great service, and if we're ever in the area in the future, we will definitely be making a stop at Diromio's to enjoy their...

Have been here many times. But.... tonight was our last time going. We have family in town and wanted to have a good night for them. And since Florida isn't known for Pizza we took a long drive all the way over there. Tonight's waitress seemed like she wasn't interested in taken our table of 7. Once the food was delivered, she was no where to be found and a completely different waitress had to follow-up behind her making sure the rest of the food was finally taken out. We never got refills.she never came back to make sure if we needed anything. Then finally came by to say they were having issues with the computer and couldn't print our tab. After another 20 minutes after THAT, I had to go in and find her to get the bill. Turns out while there system was down she ran our card 12 times, so when they finally got the system to work, our bank saw it was ran 12 times and put a block on the card. So now after waiting 40 minutes for our bill. She starts YELLING our card was declined through the restaurant. We called the bank and had it released. And then asked for the manager. (Never a SORRY this was our fault.) And this waitress rolled her eyes and made a hiss sound and walked away. The manager has ZERO compassion for our time or our lack of services, states, "well we are under staffed." I then informed her every restaurant in the world is UNDERSTAFFED. that doesn't mean your customers shouldn't get great service. This is a Tourist town we can go to 300 different restaurants in a 3 mile radius . If you don't feel the people who choose your place are important. Then we will find a new place to...

A two because the food was good. Used to frequent this place every other week or so. It would have been a 4. Close to my neighborhood. However, got a taste of how service is under some pressure and not pleased at all. Server who claimed to be manager was super snarky and very rude. She at times also opted in ignoring the customers. It was like she almost WANTED customers to leave. And was offering refunds for many people to leave instead of servicing them. It was hard to watch. Understandble it was crazy busy... but employees should at least try. Especially with guest from the local neighborhood. Turned me off. Not greeting customers, long wait for food. Over 4 hours. Not accomodating or understanding of the cutomers dime and time at all. Slightly overpriced but we were willing to pay... but not for this kind of service. Embarrassing really. I MAYBE would go back if she was no longer there. It made the other employees who were trying look really bad because she was so disorganized and rude. No need to spend money in a place looking to give guest a horrible experience. Very disorganized. Insulting customers and making customers feel their money was not needed and they are unimportant.
