El Tamalazo de Krome — Restaurant in Florida

Location is El Tamalazo in US1. Let me start by explaining the atmosphere and the reason why I took my time to leave a review. The place was empty as me and my daughter walked in. There was an older employee who walked in late then they literally started arguing super loud that my daughter (10 years old) got scared. I tried to make it look funny for her, so we could peacefully leave as the WHOLE FRONT was empty. They were fighting about some dust on the tables and someone recording a cideo showing the boss, something like it. Let me add, the entire front was left unnatended, and it sounded as a fight was going to start. Food wise: The eggs were alright, so were the stuffed plaintains. I was recommended this place, huge hype from many people, probably long ago it was a great place.

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place today. The food is just average, but the tamal was probably the worst I’ve ever had. Service was not good, and the outdoor seating? Full of birds flying around and let's not talk about the wobbly tables that felt like you were going to fall out when you sat down. Not exactly the vibe you want. Music was so loud you could barely hear anything and the music was not family friendly to say the least (cursing). The shakes and fries were the best part of the meal. The bouncy houses were entertaining for the kids. But there are so many other spots with better food, better prices, and a better atmosphere. Definitely...

The food was terrible. I don’t recommend this place at all. In addition to my experience at this place. I would like to mention that my Credit Card was stolen/ lost here. The following morning I realized that I didn’t had my CC with me and attempted to call the restaurant and hopefully speak with one of the team members. They assured me that they didn’t had my CC, but yet that same morning early in the morning my CC was charged twice 196 dollars and 206 dollars from a nearby WHOLESALE FOOD BJ’s.
