Ellie's Breakfast & Lunch — Restaurant in Florida

I've just enjoyed lunch at Ellie's for what is probably my seventh or eighth visit. I've had lunch and breakfast here now multiple times and have never been disappointed. This is good food served at a very reasonable price very friendly staff and a very comfortable atmosphere. Although their visibility from the road, unfortunately for them leaves something to be desired, the place always seems to be busy at breakfast and lunch. With as many times as I have been here I have not had a bad experience. If I were to make a single request of them it would be a footrest at the counter. When I come in as a single Patron I always prefer sitting at the counter but I'm uncomfortable on the stool without a footrest. Even more importantly than good food and good prices I witnessed a situation recently where a diner who had been a regular but had not been in recently had stopped in and a member of the staff and the owner recognized this Diner and remembered him having been overcharged on his prior visit. For whatever reason it was not caught in the moment but realized after he had left and they remembered him. On the day that I was there he received his meal at no charge. Please help me understand this place I entered only a few tables occupied and told to sit anywhere so I picked a table. Behind me was a couple that sat few tables over. Waitress ran to their table with menus and took order. I sat with. NO service for several minutes I got up to leave a waiter for another table came gave me menu and told servers I was there. Several more minutes no one cared. The other table got food and they didn't take my order yet. Finally a waitress came over seemed annoyed I was there No chatter just "what can I get for you." I ordered veggie omelet. I said I don't do toast is there something else She said nothing we can exchange without charging. Gave no suggestions. Few more minutes she delivered food. Just dropped it and ran away. No asking if I need anything. After a few bites I noticed peppers and onions VERY MUSSHY. Not just overcooked but super mushy just Horrible. That's just the way they cook it. Made the meal not good. When I went to pay the 15 dollar check. They had machine and lowest tip was 5.00 Nice try I left appropriate tip not 5.00 Please help here. We’ve been here once before but it was a few years ago when my daughter had a medical appointment down the street and we were hungry.

We happen to find this place by chance and today when we asked what everyone wanted, my youngest remembered this place but not the name. When were googled breakfast by us, she was like “that’s it, Ella’s!”

We got there today (Sunday) about 1145 am. The place was pretty busy with only a few tables opened. We were greeted by another server for our drink order but then another server was the one actually waiting on us. We didn’t catch our server’s name, BUT she was really amazing. She was extremely genuine with an outstanding, positive personality the entire time. She was probably mid 20’s, tall, dark hair with a nose piercing and I believe the only one with shorts on.

The food came out pretty fast for four meals with the entire restaurant being filled up by time we got our food.

Everything tasted pretty good. She checked on us the entire time. She was very friendly to everyone she came in contact with. She’s definitely an asset your business!!!
