My wife and I stopped here all three nights that we were camping at a nearby KOA about 2 miles north of the restaurant between March 24-26, 2005. It looks somewhat unappealing on the outside, but on the inside it is very nice and clean, with great lighting, and it looks like it was recently remodeled. It's more of a late night place to go because they have either live music or karaoke every night of the week. We noted that most of the crowd was comprised of locals who live in the St. James city area or on the south end of Pine Island. They have a long bar in the rear of the restaurant with lots of seats on both sides of it, and also a lot of dining tables inside as well as a few on the porch out front. There is a band area on the north side of the restaurant (inside). They have a good menu, but we only had a late night appetizer there. The front side parking lot gets full very quickly, but they have additional parking out back. All three nights we went there (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) it was packed with people and everyone was having a great time listing to the live music and/or some very good local karaoke singers. We found it to be a very enjoyable place and the only one in St. James City to stay open...

Google really needs to offer 1/2 star ratings. It's really not fair to give Froggy's a 4 star but it's not 3 star bad either. I review places based on others in the state or country and maybe I should review based on the town or smaller area. Froggys is Arguably the best bar on Pine Island. But it's not comparable to others in Cape Coral, Ft. Myers or Punta Gorda. The positives are, the live music. The bands are usually pretty good and thank God they don't charge a cover. They serve alcohol ( one of the few in the area) not just beer and wine and the prices aren't completely out of line, they're fair. The bad, Every bar tender I've met here is boarder line angry. Not one of them what's to hold any sort of conversation no matter how small. They're not interested in discussing the island or anything about it. They presumably live near by and certainly work in an area where people vacation. Why not be happy? Up beat? Positive? There's two pool tables which is good, but no dart boards. Froggys is a must go to 3.5 star bar on...

Disappointing. We have been going here for years. It's always a special occasion for us because we know what we like there and we love the consistency. We travel 20+ miles to do so. Although anything we've had, including frogs leg's, has been deliciously consistent, today we learned that there has been a sauce recipe change on the shrimp/chicken / broccoli Alfredo. My wife will not eat Alfredo sauce anywhere else because she has been so spoiled by the recipe here at Froggy's. Sadly, that's no longer the case. The sauce recipe is no longer the cheesy, creamy full bodied sauce as in the past. It's lacking in depth, thin and no longer tasty. Someone made the decision to change the recipe and when they did that, they ruined the meal. Please change it back to the old standby sauce from the past. We want Froggy's to remain our all time favorite restaurant. But sadly, because of this unnecessary recipe change, Froggy's is just another restaurant in SW FLA that happens to sell shrimp alfredo. It's no longer that special secret gem...

Headed to Froggy’s tonight. I was really disappointed. A place I frequented for over 10 years. I’ve finally returned to my home state to live again and have family on Pine Island so one of the first places I go is to Froggy’s where everyone knows my name. Well not no more. I sat at a table waiting on a server to show. I was primed for an appetizer and drinks. But the server didn’t even show up on the floor for more than a half hour later. She then seemed to focus on friends. I was getting hungry but she only sped walked by me. After more than an hour waiting for service I left disappointed, hungry and thirsty.
