Venezuelan street food at its finest! A hidden gem amongst warehouses I was surprised how many people were already there when I pulled up to this food truck that seems to be a popular spot to the locals of the area. Babe and I (of course) started with some tequenos, $4.67 for 5, since they are a Venezuelan joint which were tasty, but nothing mind blowing unlike the next menu item we had which was their Arepitas de Pernil y Queso $8.65. This is 2 fried arepas filled with slow cooked oven roasted pork, Venezuelan queso de mano, fried cheese, slaw, tartar sauce, and ketchup. WOW oh wow! The pork was incredibly juicy (lip smacking good) and the cheese was served in thick chunks which made it all even better. I would definitely recommend trying this if you're here.
The next item we ordered was their "La Famosa Fritiburger" $9.99 which had crunchy potato sticks, slaw, green sauce, ketchup, queso de mano, plantain slices, and grated cheese. After my first bite I distinctly remember saying that this burger taste like Miami. It was HUGE and so worth it! I loved the plantains in it----perfect balance of sweet & salty plus the slaw and green sauce give it a fresh taste so its not completely heavy.
We also tried their Loaded Cheddar Cheese Fries with Bacon $4 as a side which was sooooo good and obviously unhealthy. The cheese stays melted and creamy, perfect for the big handfuls of crispy bacon thrown on top with sliced green onion which I thought was a nice touch.
They are a late night food truck so I will definitely be back after a long night out...
Read moreHad a bad experience in this place. 1-They are not organized when it comes to bringing food to the table. 2- After we waited for one hour to get hour food, I asked the waiter, "Why was it taking so long to bring our food" it was 12am. He just replied, "There are people that came before you, so you have to wait." But, after one hour?? 3- This waiter lack of customer service, they probably believe we must go to their place and stand their bad customer service. 4- I needed to hustle the seat because since it is a food truck, you don't have any guarantee table, and my table was "unstable " Bottom line, this place is only for people that don't care about good service, that like to eat standing up, etc. NOT WORTH SPENDING YOUR...
Read moreI stopped by for some burgers for a business and after waiting for like 5 minutes and everyone walked by and no one Saud anything I found out they were "still close". I had to ask an employee that walked by to whom should I place the order and he told me they were still close. Close for 6 more minutes.... really? Take the order and start to cook them at 7pm if you want,, but don't ignore the customer because the business will open in a few minutes, nor reject an order you can take and apart to work on in 5 minutes.
By the way. If it's close don't make the business looks like it's open: all lights on, music...
