I heard great things about this place, so I had to check it out. Their milkshakes are so good. Im addicted to Nutterbutters, so when I saw they had a nutterbutter shake, i had to get it. If you are from an area that has Cookouts, and you're having a craving for cookout shakes, the shakes at this place will definitely satisfy that craving and honestly, I liked these shakes even more than cookout.
Their chicken tenders were like actual real homemade chicken tenders, and they serve them with gravy, which is freaking awesome bc that's my favorite way to eat them. Their fried pickles were actually crispy and delicious, unlike many of the fried pickles I've gotten in this area so far. Even the ranch had that amazing homemade taste to it, it didn't taste like bottled ranch.
I wish this place would open a few more shops in town or one in West Pensicola because it was like a 26 minute drive for me, but it was well worth the drive.
Seriously, if yall kept the same recipes/styles and opened a few more shops in town, you would put so many of these fast food places out of business!
Ngl, I considered giving them a bad review so it wouldn't be so busy the next time I went𤣠but I just couldn't do that to them. Hands down one of the top 5 places I've eaten in town so far, and that list includes places where I've spent an upwards of $150 on dinner. This place is 100% the best Diner style food that I've had in town by far. It makes it even better that it seems to be a family owned business. If they opened a chain of these restaurants and kept the same recipes/food quality, they would put every fast food joint out of...
Read moreI have to travel to Pensacola once a week for work, and occasionally, I will leave home early enough that I can eat breakfast at Grover's.
This was one of those occasions. All the way down, I thought of what I wanted to get when I got there: the biscuit and gravy plate. You can read the menu, if you want, but I'm gonna tell you what it comes with. 3 eggs (cooked your way. My way is scrambled, add cheese), hash browns or grits (I'm as southern as the next guy, but if I'm already having biscuits and gravy, give me the hash browns), bacon or sausage (bacon makes EVERYTHING better. Besides, you're getting a LOT of sausage in that gravy), and a split biscuit smothered with the aforementioned sausage gravy. At first, I was a bit upset, as I thought I wanted 2 biscuits. I found out shortly that Grover's knew what I wanted better than I did.
I fix my sweet tea and sit down to wait for my food. And before you ask, yes, sweet tea is a perfectly acceptable southern breakfast beverage.
My plates arrive shortly thereafter. One of 'em is the biscuit and gravy, the other is full of the fixin's. And all of them are magnificent. The taste is scrumptious, and the portions are large. If I have any complaint at all (and it's not a complaint so much as it is a wish), it would be that the bacon was a little thicker. It was still good, just thin. We like 'em thick down here.
The staff was amazing as always, willing to talk with you and still getting stuff done.
Moral of my story: get you some breakfast at Grover's, but make sure you have two things: 1) Time to sit down and enjoy the food and company and 2) a...
Read moreI went in to get me and my wife wings we ordered 20 wings an order of onion rings and a drink and paid 38$ First of all i donât mind hearing about the problems from the day but thatâs the only thing she even really said to us and I wish she would have been more inviting.Secondly I sit and wait for about 50 minutes for the food which wasnât much of an issue tells me itâs fresh but I look around and itâs super disgusting all around me itâs dirty from the walls to the floors to the window ac unitâŚ.. just sayin I can look over a small wait and dirty restaurant if it wasnât for the third thing which is it seems like the wings were over cooked and over sauced⌠I mean it was in a pool of oil and sauce not very appetizing. She also brings the food almost runs into me as I get up didnât apologize sets the wings down and says noting and walks away didnât tells the onion rings would be right out or enjoy just sets it down and walks away next thing you know like 3 minutes later she sets the onion rings down and walks away without saying a word in fact I said thank you as she walked away without acknowledging that I said thank you so so so rude I cannot believe sheâs running the register and bring food out. Best part is as I walk out leaving my food on the table not barley touched for two people eating on it. There is three girls standing in a circle playing on their phones and talking. I did leave them a note and figured I should leave one for someone that can actually maybe fix this experience for the next person that trys to get some wings and onion rings with their wife or...
