H & D Roadhouse — Restaurant in Florida

I met and had the worst bartender I have ever experienced in my life. I used to love going to this place, the food is decent, the bartenders were great but after 3 alterations with a rude bartender that I had...I don't waste too much time going anymore. When a bartender yanks a menu out your hand, racially profiles you, and gives you your bill before you ask for it...that means your business isn't wanted. I have spent thousands in this place the past 2 years I've lived on the island. The last time I was there my gf and I didn't drink because we are expecting a baby soon so I bought a few appetizers, and played a $20 game. I ordered my $40 in food and the bartender got an attitude because I didn't purchase alcohol. When she gave me my food, she had it bagged up with my bill that I didn't ask for. Then proceeded to throw the receipt when I told her I wasn't leaving and obviously ordered the food for there while I'm playing the game. My gf hadn't been out the house in a couple of months during the start of her pregnancy. We soon left on our own, payed out. The bartender chased my pregnant gf and I out with security all the way to our vehicles to ban us lol. This is not ok...If I had chosen to defend us accordingly...they would point their fingers and say I'm the bad guy. I don't like being treated like that where I've spent thousands of my hard earned money. This is not ok and...

That crew needs a retraining. When someone is weirdly obsessed with your girlfriend, and keeps making weird, insinuating comments, you should be able to bring that to a halt verbally. When the security decides to come out of nowhere and shove someone over simple words, that means they’re in above their heads. Instead, they should be asking questions to figure out what happened. A box turtle could figure that out. It used to be a fun spot. Now, it’s calling people our for fragrantless vape, but letting girls have their whole asses out. It’s letting weird guys continuously circle back to women to say weird, obnoxious things, but (trying) to bounce people who stick up for the women. It’s a shame. The worst part being they aren’t even good bouncers. An arm and headlock away from being asleep, had we actually been the instigators, as opposed to trying to be helpful, and saying we’re calm once the bouncers initiated physical contact. That was with the bouncer on top. He should have had control. It was the oddest visit to your bar I’ve ever experienced. We aren’t even the fight-people-at-bars type. We’re typically out making friends. Very disappointed this time with bouncers being the aggressors, especially against the ones actually standing up for women being harassed.

I am 76, took our 30 something niece there for adult beverages last Sunday evening after we had hit three bars in the village. This one is close to my house and less than a mile. I will go back and not waste my time in the village for over priced drinks. Dane was our bartender, great conversation and kept the bar covered and everyone happy. The DJ played some great music and even sang along. There were several patrons who sang and were actually very good for local talent and a couple not so good, but this was an adventure for me as I have lived on this island most of my life since I was 10. Typical biker bar motive and my only complaint is the bathrooms need some up dating. Beyond that, our evening for my niece from CA, loved this bar best as did I and thank you Dane for making our evening at your bar memorable! When my niece from Co. comes, I know where I am taking her and btw. we did not eat food, but it smelled delicious and the prices of the drinks were awesome compared to the village.
