This is a takeout window at a Sunoco gas station.
I ordered my pizza online and “pre-paid”with a credit card. My payment INCLUDED the cost of the pizza, plus a TIP..
When I arrived at the store, the gentleman at the window handed me a clipboard with papers, receipts, and a pen.
It seemed kind of odd to me because I had already paid online. Which I think is the point of online payment, right?
When I looked at the receipt on the clipboard, it showed my pre-paid payment for the pizza as well as the tip that I had previously paid for online.
The only items left, were an ADDITIONAL line for ANOTHER TIP, and a total.
I should have just handed him back the clipboard and said “I’ve already paid.” But instead, I foolishly placed a zero on the ADDITIONAL TIP line and wrote in the same total I had previously prepaid by credit card. And then signed. I now officially felt “guilty” for not providing a second tip..!!
Obviously, the only reason for this, was for me to pay a tip on top of my previous tip.
I then asked if they had any packaged red pepper, and he angrily said they were out, and had no pepper or parmesan cheese. He then said something about waiting on their truck for delivery.
I guess maybe if you pay the additional tip, you have a reasonable chance of getting a package of red pepper with your pizza.
So, I guess we’ve reached a point where they want a tip before they give you service, and AFTER they give you service.
Until then, I would recommend to those who are reading this to avoid tipping online and then consider if a tip is appropriate...

I called corporate to let them know about the terrible food and even worse customer service. Genie or Jenny, not sure about her name, is the evening manager that wouldn't stand by their work. She was quick to dismiss my concern with their service.
She proceeded to tell me that I had to take it up with Uber eats since that's how I placed my order. She wouldn't acknowledge that they produce shitty work. When I made that point clear, she began to get loud with me and again told me it's Uber's issue, not theirs.
There's was a response to my original review, and instead of refunding my money, which wasn't even an option from their point of view. They suggested I give them more of my business.
The person responding to customer reviews needs to offer a contact number for follow-ups and refunds.
I want my money back, not a request to eat more of your terrible product. And it's not Uber's problem. They didn't make the...
Read moreThis location does not follow the traditional Hungry Howie's experience. Expect to have to request for everything, remind them of everything, and be charged for everything... Bought Two wacky Wednesday subs today, I have had bigger quesadillas from taco Bell, had to pay for sub sauce 4@.69, go back and request for sub veggies ( which generally include the sub sauce) sub did not have the butter/garlic coating.. basically paid $19.00 for two flavorflawed child size subs on sale for 5.95 with three additional toppings. Being a dedicated Hungry Howie customer for years, I was deeply disappointed in this location. I now know in the future, that I will have to tell them how to prepare their items to get the product expected from the Hungry Howie name. The young man who worked there was very courteous and polite, the older woman who took the order was not as pleasant,...
