Jeremiah's Italian Ice — Restaurant in Florida

Having a cool treat place in this area is awesome! We stopped in today late afternoon to try it out as we had not before. It was busy but the line went quickly. A few things that need some attention are, since it’s new, have the cashier be helpful when ordering. I felt as if he was annoyed by me being new and not sure how to order. Next, instead of calling out what the person ordered, why not use the number on the receipt or get names. Most people are ordering for their group so have all the orders called together, use a tray or Togo carrier for these orders. Also the lids were not on secure and by the time we drove home, 5 min, there was a mess in my car because the lid was not sealed at all. I recognize it’s new and it’s all teenagers working but a bit of guidance would be a great idea to make sure this place stays open. If not this cute place will not last at all if they continue as is.

As for the treats, they were very good. If you like soft serve and Italian ice you’ll love it. Just be mindful it’s messy.

Lastly, this is for parents not the store. Just because you have kids and this is an ice cream frozen treat place, doesn’t mean you can allow your kids to run amuck. I watched a family with 3 children come in. The parents were not even watching their kids as they ran around others in the front of the line, breaking the balloons, and tripping up other customers as they were getting their orders. You choose to have 3 kids, now it’s your responsibility to make sure they are next to you minding their manners. But I digress, I see this far to often. They think it’s ok for their crumb snatchers to do whatever they want with out...

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice in South Lakeland is hands-down one of our favorite local spots — a total gem for the whole family! From the moment you walk up to the colorful and upbeat storefront, you can feel the good vibes. The staff is always friendly, patient, and full of energy, even when the line is long (which it often is — and for good reason!).

The flavor choices are endless, and the combinations you can create with their Gelatis (layered Italian ice and soft-serve) are absolutely next level. Whether you’re a classic mango fan or like to go wild with flavors like cotton candy, root beer, or cookies & cream — there’s something for every mood and every age. The texture of the Italian ice is perfect every time — smooth, icy, and packed with flavor, not watery or bland like others. And their soft-serve? So creamy it’s addictive.

My kids are obsessed, and honestly, so am I. It’s become our go-to reward after games, a pick-me-up on hot Florida afternoons, and a no-brainer when friends visit. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous!

Third and last time coming to this place. The first two times orders came out wrong. lids were never placed on properly . I ordered 5 different ice creams and I was handed each one, one at a time, instead of placing the ice cream in a tray. Today I informed them to please make sure to layer the sprinkles for the kids ice cream. I’ve been to many Jeremiah’s before and have never had to remind them to do that. This place seem to run on a different beat. I understand these are all kids but at least have an adult overlooking the transactions. Handing customers ice cream that is dripping and wet with ice cream isn’t good...
