Kalye Grill & Lumpia offers a taste of Filipino cuisine with a mix of hits and misses. During my recent visit, I sampled their Chicken Teriyaki combo, which was decent but didn't quite hit the mark in terms of flavor. The portions were average, and while the dish was satisfactory, it didn't leave a lasting impression. Similarly, the Pork on a stick combo had a decent taste, but I found the meat to be on the fattier side. While it provided a satisfying meal, the slightly higher prices seemed a bit unjustified given the portion sizes and the quality of the meat. The fried rice served alongside the combos lacked the robust flavor I was expecting, and I noticed a peppery taste that overshadowed other flavors. It served its purpose as a side dish, but it didn't enhance the overall dining experience as much as I had hoped. Included with the meal was lumpia, which was okay but needed the accompanying dip to add flavor. While it provided a nice addition to the meal, it didn't stand out as much as I had anticipated. Overall, my experience at Kalye Grill & Lumpia was good, but it fell short of my expectations in terms of flavor. While the dishes were satisfactory, they didn't deliver the bold and vibrant flavors I associate with Filipino cuisine. Despite this, I would be willing to give it another try in the future, even given them being on a pricier side for the portion sizes.

For the most part I think k the food here was not too bad. Usually I love places that serve chicken on a stick and lumpia. Usually such places do well but occasionally they can have a bad day and have undercooked chicken. That has happened here. The chicken has good flavor, yes, but when you let your son start to eat one the next day and see pink all in half of the chicken, it can be off putting. The fried rice, not bad, a good fried rice can give you more to fill up on without breaking your pocket. The flavor isn't bad, maybe slightly less pepper next time, makes it a little harsh for kids. The lumpia was a tad thin but thin isn't too bad, makes it stay crisper longer, only issue is less filling. Either way, all in all I'd give a 4

Do not eat here. This place served rancid noodles and chicken that had little white eggs. I ordered $74 worth of food, all the noodles were rancid with a sour smell. I placed them on a plate before I realized they were bad. I will attach a photo. After seeing the chicken I just threw out ALL the food. You can see in the pic the little black dots all over the noodles, idk what it is, but I know it’s not seasoning. The noodles even look rancid. Food ordered around 2:30pm picture taken at 3:05pm for reference.

I ordered one lumpia and 3 chicken on a sticks. The food was mediocre at best. I was terribly disapointed the lumpia didn't have much flavor and the sauce had even less flavor. The chicken on a stick, which I thought would be good for sitting at my desk to eat while working was almost gross. It seems like it was marinated in the adobo sauce (I could be wrong) which is a pretty good flavor, but then bbq sauce was put on top and ruined the marinade flavor and the grilled flavor. I ended up throwing half of them away because the taste wasn't worth the calories. I had black beans from a can instead because they taste WAY BETTER than the chicken on a stick. The lady inside was working fast, but her face-to-face personality is lack luster. My usual place is Palma's (both the food truck and restaurant) I'll continue going...
