A Joto's was always my favorite restaurant I was sad to see it close. I was thrilled to see we would have a little Joto's. We had a reservation and walk in and was greeted and seated right away. Service was quick and never had a dirty dish on our table long. All the servers were working together. Drinks were always filled. Atmosphere was clean and simple. Food was on point with timing. The soup and salad are same as the old Jotos. The rice is different than the other Jotos. Less flavor but I added the sauce they give you and it gave the rice the same flavor as when they would cook it at the hibachi. It did have carrots and peas in the fried rice which was new. We had the steak, scallops, steak and chicken and no one in our party of four was disappointed with their meal. What makes Jotos different than the other is the choice of veggies they use. The zucchini, mushrooms and onions were still added to the meal. When we go back I will add extra of the veggies. For our family the difference was the amount of veggies we got I feel like the portion was small and we just need to ask for extra at the next visit. If you are a native and loved Jotos you will love Little Jotos. The other change was the specialty drinks they do not have but do have a beer and wine selection. I was surprised to see the prior reviews for our experience was perfect and we will continue to go for the food and service was excellent. My suggestion to the owner would be add more veggies and season the rice with the sauce like it was done at the hibachi tables. Thank you for allowing us to continue to visit my favorite Japanese restaurant just in a...
Read moreHappy and sad at the same time.. my wife and I were 18 the first time we went to the old Jotos in 1988. We had spent almost every birthday and our kids birthdays there.. This place was amazingly special to us!!. I guess we expected that scene vs the new vibe.. we figured they would have some of the old tables and be cooking in front of us making the big fire and maybe a volcano that everyone loved to see. This is not like that at all.. This place is small and that is fine.. it’s called little jotos for a reason.. when we walked in there are 16 tables and none of them were hibachi.. Where are all the chefs making fire and memories?. The food was amazing and tasted just like old times.. it is hands down the best Japanese food you will ever eat.. and still is!.. Thanks to our favorite chef who carried on.. thank you for giving us some of the old jotos back! Maybe somewhere down the road you can open up a bigger location with hibachi like the old jotos… PS… a full alcohol bar doesn’t hurt either. Missing our flaming...
Read moreAnother great meal at little joto. I had the Japanese curry this time. So flavorful without being too hot. Lydia cat had the kids hibachi steak again and loved it. We didn't make it to dessert this time but I saw green tea ice cream and green tea cheesecake that are definitely coming home with me next time.
First time here tonight for dinner with my daughter and friends. The atmosphere is so comfortable and elegant at the same time. Loved all the lanterns and the small parasols in the bathroom that carry through the detail of the dining room decor. The food was spectacular. So fresh, cooked to perfection. The kids inhaled their edamame starter and loved the miso soup. "Hey, I ate a mushroom, and it was good"😂 I had the steak and shrimp hibachi and it was so tender and flavorful without being salty. Finally, the fried Oreos with ice cream are...
