Long review but our honest experience. Picked up a dinner for 6 last night at Longbills- our first time eating it. On the menu it states that the taco dinner comes with 2 tacos but you can add a third taco for $3.99. I asked if we could order that dinner with a third taco. When we went to pick it up I noticed that that actually charged and cooked us 3 of the taco dinners. The girl taking our order said it was our fault for not being specific when placing the order and that they were going to charge us for three meals instead of one. We talked to the manager, Jeff I believe, and he told the girl that she needed to start clarifying that, not the guest. Ding ding! Great job, Jeff. He took the two extra meals off our Bill and let us take home the extras. Awesome way to handle that as a manager. Walking out I said “Jeff won my business again”. Getting home though we realized that zero of the 4 po-boys we ordered were toasted or on buttered buns. Just a loaf of bread. Disappointing. 5 large shrimp per po-boy, which wasn’t terrible. Ordered a grilled shrimp po-boy but when we got there the girl told us that they can only do fried... ok? Why didn’t you tell us this on the phone? It doesn’t say only fried on the menu. That po-boy also wasn’t supposed to have tomatoes but it did, so my moms whole meal was not correct. My dad was happy with his scallop po-boy - had lots of good scallops on it! Remoulade was great. The tacos were awesome BUT you only get 2 shrimp per taco. $15 but for four shrimp on two tacos. Yikes! Slaw was great. Fried pickles were good. We also ordered three desserts- one key lime pie, one caramel sea salt cheesecake, and one cast iron Mac nut cookie with ice cream. We did not receive the key lime pie at all in the order and the Mac nut cookie was actually choc chip. Dessert portions were extremely small for the $10 you pay for them. Overall, I don’t think we would come back at all. My husband pointed out that the vibe inside didn’t really match the vibe we feel on the Cape... been coming to the Cape for about 20 years and couldn’t agree more. This place has potential! I think most of our issues last night came from the girl who took our order. We visited on...
Read moreStopped in for a bite to eat and some protection from a storm that rolled in while at the state park. This place is fairly small with only a dozen tables between the inside and screed in patio. The bar takes up half the inside and provides the majority of seating. Unfortunately it was packed when we arrived and ended up on the patio as the only table. It was busy when we arrived and I was a little suspect of the service when I arrived. It was several minutes of standing around wondering if we should try and seat ourselves before a waitress came and sat us. Any qualms about service was quickly dispelled. The waitress whose name I unfortunately can't remember was so friendly, and chatted us up making us feel at home once the other customers left and things slowed down a bit. Other than being in general helpful with our questions and suggestions about the menu, and even the weather, she was funny and had us laughing with our meal. It's a mom and pop place and the owner and her husband are good friends. Her daughter works there too so you know it's got those good vibes and she was sharing the love. The food was excellent by the way. I don't usually hype up the staff like this in my reviews and I've dedicated a significant proportion of this one to just that, but the food deserves its props. As it was just a quick bite, we only ordered the drunken shrimp and the catch of the day redfish tacos with Caesar salads. Again I was distracted by the excellent service and inhaled most of the food before I remembered I do these Google reviews. The shrimp were fresh, plump and cooked to perfection. Ate them shell on, but I get weird looks so I know that's just me. Same thing with the tacos, the fish(blackened) was fresh and well prepared, and the taco with the slaw and sweet chili sauce was on point. The Caesar salad, while *just a salad was equally as good. I've had disappointing Caesar salad lately, which is like how?, so I gotta mention it here too. Wish I was on the coast longer as I would've liked to have eaten/hangout here more than I did, but now I have another reason...
Read moreThe place was the bomb ! Ate there after a long day at the beach. The only downside was that they had a limited menu. But one thing I do when I am on the coast is always get the peel them and eat them shrimp. You can always tell a lot about a place just from that simple appetizer was 15 bucks for half a pound, but was amazing, the shrimp were perfectly cooked, super clean, deveined and split for easy peeling and the shrimp were large size, hands down best peel em and eat em shrimp I’ve had … and I’ve had a lot. Side note I’m not too sure, but it tasted like all the sauces were made in the house. I had the steak with vegetables and a salad and the steak was cooked perfectly rare and for 30 bucks at 14 ounce. New York strip is worth it. My girl had the flounder, and it was extremely fresh, we got the kiddo, the Alfredo, which is weird to have so close to the beach but it was amazingly creamy. I could only imagine what their big plate of pasta would’ve tasted like overall, the service was amazing. Price is high but I think it’s totally worth it we paid $98 and left a $20 tip. Also keep in mind the place is small but we got there around five and it was perfect amount of people good amount of screens to watch and a nice size bar. I’m gonna get on of their urinals for my house ! Oh almost forgot ….. place was freezing inside it felt amazing after being in the sun. I was a frequent visitor to SGI but I think this areas gonna be my new beach spot . Much love !! Oh shoot forgot … key lime pie … ridiculously good !! No pictures of food because we where starving at it was to good to waste time !
Other side notes - place is spotless , ton of staff for fast serving . Cups were...
