What a special treat Los Potosinos Taqueria proved to be! This outpost before the entrance to Everglades National Park serves homestyle Mexican food and antojitos that are uniquely flavorful. The corn tortillas are homemade and slightly thicker than your traditional Yucatan style taqueria, which I enjoyed very much. They serve tacos with lettuce and tomato, which is a departure from the traditional cilantro and onion condiment blend which is ubiquitous in South Florida. These tacos and gorditas are not spicy, which is a nice base you can complement with the traditional red and green sauces served on the side. Service is excellent - very welcoming, happy, and generous. A must try on your way to Everglades...

BEWARE OF AUTOMATIC $4 TIP IF YOU PLACE AN ORDER VIA PHONE.

I've been coming to this spot for years. Sadly it's in DIRE NEED for improvement. Food prices increased the food quality decreased.

I ordered a Sope and sadly I almost chipped a tooth trying to eat it. (Lawsuit waiting to happen)

Lastly, Before paying I recommend adding up your own total. One of the waiters went ahead and included her TIP in the total. Which wouldn't have been a problem if the service was good. I called ahead and was told 30 mins. Upon arrival I had to wait another 40 mins.

I wouldn't recommend this food truck if you're looking for decent...

The food is served on styrofoam plates with plastic utensils. I don't really mind, but to be aware. Remember, this is a food truck.

The prices are not "cheap". I had a not large enchilada for 11 dollars. It did not fill me up.

No tap water, so if you drink water you'll be buying a plastic container that winds up filling the land fill. I recommend bringing your own water in your own jug. I'm not even sure they will...
