Morty's Pizza — Restaurant in Florida

My ex husband and I visit several times a year helping parents ordered large order. Only in for holidays My ex husband loved your Calzones. Came by tonight and bought one for him and and Philly cheese steak. Which was great he ended up eating mine and said his food was burnt sad he wasn't a happy camper. He won't write bad reviews because he loves your food. We will have to do a repeat tomorrow eve or Friday . Unfortunately he ate my sub and I don't do Calzones .. I will return it like I said in next day or so . He pulled end off which is did favorite part and said even when he removed black still says it's burnt. And he had no access to FB hw asked me to bring pic in so I did he tells me yes it loons burnt but owners daughter said too much time has passed..I explaibed we live in Va only come dew times a year and cone here WONT AGAIN POOR BUSINESS FOOD TOO. JOEYS HERE WE COME...why have a facebook if yoy dont read it or communicate with employee's. A Family Run....

It's been kind of a tradition of ours to go to Morty's since back when we didn't have a washer or dryer and had to go to the laundry mat right next door. While waiting for our clothes to wash, we always went over and got their bacon cheese fries with extra ranch. Their ranch is homemade and is the best I've ever had. This time I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the owner, Eddie. We got to talking after. I had asked him if I could try the meatballs before ordering some because I'm super picky when it comes to them. This man not only got me one but cut it up and talked with me the entire time asking my opinion on the food. And got to talking about how Morty's came to be. His father is from Bosnia and his mother is from Italy. He said she has a shop just like his over in Italy. Everything from their delicious sauce to their ranch, even their blend of cheeses they use on their pizzas Is family recipe. He was very kind and sweet and wholesome. Telling me about how he works there someday is and then auntie's he's not there that his son is. Very family oriented. And I definitely recommend their bone in wings. They are sooooooo GOOD!! I like mine a little bit more on the crispy side so I asked them to Fry them a little longer. And they were more than accommodating. If you haven't given Morty's Pizza a you chance I definitely would suggest doing so! We always get their Bacon Cheese fries, Antipasto Salad, bone in wings and mix it up between their calzones or their stromboli. And definitely don't forget the RANCH!! This man needs to bottle in market this stuff. For all the ranch lovers out there you've got to...

what can I say...i have a love hate relationship with Morty's. For the most part, their food is ok. I personally think they overdo it on the cheese. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs once....never again!. Why is there like a pound of melted cheese on my pasta?...I would think all this wasted cheese must be hurting their food costs. They do the same thing with pizza..makes no sense. All that extra cheese just traps moisture and make for a very soggy, flimsy pizza... Except for the hiawian pizza...i dont know what they are doing but it is by FAR the BEST hiawian pizza in town! That being said, their wings are also some of the best in town, especially their bbq and chili wings...they are worth the long delivery time! As for the service...lets just say you can tell when they are having a bad day...and thats not a good thing. I personally dont really care, as long as i get my food done well and on time, but in general, you shouldnt sound pissed off that somebody is calling to order food--its called business, and its a good thing! Also, the staff needs to stop taking smoke breaks out infront, several feet from the entrance...It is a real turn off. Take your smoke breaks out back, out of view of customers. I think if they fix the issues with their service, speed up delivery times, and improve the consistency of their food, Morty's can very well be one of the best Pizzarias in town. I have alot of love for this place, for personal reasons, and the food used to be alot better. Hopefully they will pay attention to these reviews because I really preffer for local...
