Mulligans Irish Pub — Restaurant in Florida

When we walked in there were no tables available. Several were empty but had not been bussed. The wait staff had to bus the tables themselves because there was no one else doing it even on a busy Saturday evening. It appeared that the POS system was either new and the staff wasnt trained, or it is just junk because at all times there were at least two wait staff at each moniter taking a very long time fussing with entering orders and processing card payments instead of helping customers. The staff was friendly and very busy, but the communication was lacking. My husband ordered a Cuban sandwich. The waitress did not correct him stating that it was not a sandwich but a flatbread. He ordered it with lettuce tomato and onion. It was served without those things. I ordered the Jameson Chicken. When asked if I wanted mashed potatoes or rice with the veggie of the day, I stated rice. Mine came with both potatoes and rice and no veggies. When I asked, I was told they were out of veggies so they just made the decision to give me the potatoes...because they are a vegetable too. Also, there were no glasses washed so we were served Styrofoam cups instead of glasses. And those werent replaced when the glasses were washed. Nor did we receive any refills. I asked for hot sauce and a to go container and proceeded to watch our waitress look in several different cabinets, even going into another room because these items werent in an accessable place. Because we were at a table nearest to the station where the wait staff enter orders we could hear ALL of them complaining about things that were making their jobs hard. This is why we will not be returning. The food was fine. The atmosphere was clean and pleasing...but the mangement seems to make the staff work very hard to do the simplest things, which in turn makes for bad service. The bar / restaurant area is very nice, appeared clean, and has a beautiful view of the golf course. You can choose to sit inside at the bar, plenty of tables in the bar area, and can also sit at tables outside. Reasonably priced. My only Two issues of concern, First, the waitstaff & bartenders are not dressed appropriately for an establishment that serves food. The dress attire looked more like someone would wear in a local dive bar, which is a shame considering how nice this restaurant is. Second, I noticed many of the staff standing around doing nothing and some were texting on their phones. This is a restaurant so I find it hard to believe that there is "nothing" to do. That to me looked very inappropriate for any employee of a restaurant. The GM of this establishment ought to make sure his staff looks professional and neat, hopefully he or she will...

1 star. It used to be a 4 or 5 star establishment. My family and I have enjoyed Mulligans for the last 2 years, visiting atleast twice a month. Last night, a Saturday night, we decided to visit for the Irish Nachos, they are what brings us back. Well the server was very nice, but very pre-occupied. It took a long time for our order to be taken, and when the food arrived, it took her 10 min. to get her attention that both my wife's and my nachos were very cold. We switch the nachos with broccoli, and the broccoli was still cold and uncooked. So it just was not enjoyable, they did replace my wife's meals and took them both off of the bill, but I left Hungary because I was not going to eat after all of my family was finished eating. Again the server tried very hard to correct the situation, but for how long we waited, it was not enjoyable or acceptable...
