In one word, I would say unacceptable. When we first approached the hostess, she asked us how many there were two of us and we had three more joining us. She said well you’ll have to wait until your whole party is here. We said OK so we said when you see us, can we have a window seat because I am visually impaired and need extra light she said nope,we only have two window seats and they’re both taken. She had a very very condescending attitude. So we went outside and waited for our party Low involved five or 10 minutes later she said oh ladies you’re in luck you can get seated so we went in and Lo and behold. we only have two window seats and they’re both taken. She had a very very condescending attitude. So we went outside and waited for our party Low involved five or 10 minutes later she said oh ladies you’re in luck you can get seated so we went in and lo and behold. There was a window seat for us so we sat Down. That was Melissa who was the hostess. And she didn’t have the most test. Her waitress was crystal, KRYSTLE. At first we thought she was gonna be OK but when our party arrived, she said in a condescending voice, they found another one to bring. Now you have six instead of five. I had had enough by then so I piped up and said that’s good. You’ll make more money! Then we ordered one of the ladies there was trying to order a sandwich and Crystal totally confused her so she ended up ordering French soup. Money lost there. My mom and I split a platter. My mother ordered a baked potato. When she got it, it was cold so when Crystal finally came back. She said Crystal may I have this warmed up because it isn’t warm and she said well we can’t warm it up. She huffed and said “sure.”I’ll see what I can do in a condescending app. When she brought it back, it was cold again. I couldn’t wait to get out of there, I have never been in such a disrespectful establishment. My family are in the hospitality business and none of them would’ve stood for that kind of attitude from their employees. I am not sure if this will ever get read. But I know that my family when they get reviews, they read them and they actually take action. They’re only three tables with people at it that should be in a sign right there. The food was mediocre at best, overpriced, and served with a grudge. I’ve had more hospitality at...
Read moreA quaint place with both indoor, and enclosed patio seating. The decor is very beachy, and skeleton pirates climbing the rigging in the patio is fun. We ordered both the bisque and clam chowder. The bisque was very good. I sensed a little dried tomato flavor - nice touch. Steamers were the champions of our trip. Good sized belly clams with long necks (always be sure to remove the sweater). The chowder was a bit salty, probably a little tilted towards potatoes in the potatoes to clam ratio (price saving measure?), and it was nice and thick. The calimaria appetizer was very good, lightly fried, but I'd have preferred a little more tentacles mixed in with the rings. The seasoned broccoli side didn’t have much seasoning. Sweat potato fries were good. The lobster Pasta Dubay had nice sized pieces of lobster, but the pasta was a bit watery - not sure if it wasn't drained completely or if the sauce was just a bit thin. The Nantucket Trio had good flavor in all three meats, and the sauce was great. No room for dessert, but I'd bet it's good too. We certainly had enough food for four meals, so our take out bag was full. On the second day, with about three tablespoons of additional butter added, the pasta was perfect. We had read both good and bad reviews, and spoke with friends (several from New England) who had visited in the last three months. Many of our friends said it was OK, certainly a little above average, but price was an issue. Toss in the 30 miles drive - much of which is 35MPH, and as the saying goes - just not enough 'spark of joy'. Perhaps we came with expectations that were a little too high, and while the restaurant didn't live up to those expectations (and I doubt we'll return), it's certainly a place that's worth visiting so you can come away with your...
Read moreHorrendous! As always this bad review has nothing to do with price or service. I can completely ignore all issues if the food is Good and place is clean. Place is dark and dismal, also ignorable. Great tasting batter can NEVER hide the taste of old seafood. Cod was old, I spit it out. Scallops hit and miss 1 fresh one taste like an old shoe. Soup was sour and gross, salad was old, fish was old scallops were off. Grilled Shrimp advertised as jumbo was large at best and smothered in unnecessary seasoning. Overall terrible experience. I told the wattressthey can't cook the old out of the fish. She told the chef. When she came back I asked her what did he say. She was a little uncomfortable understandably and said he said it was fresh. I said did you tell him I spit it out on my Plate and we did not eat the fish. She said she would tell him. I did not ask for a discount at all, nor did they offer. I am from long Island, family in the fish business. This place is garbage. Brevard has extremely low food standards. This place would not last a single season in any reputable competitive location. You might think - oh, but all the good reviews, right? Yea those people are drunk or locals who only know good scrapple and grits. MIGHT AS WELL GO TO RED LOBSTER. BONUS: my six year old son ordered mini sliders and they brought him a frozen quarter pounder. Onion rings were good. 😆 🤣 the only plate we finished more than half way at the table was the the chickstrips shared by my daughters. Even if they offered a discount, who would want it? I want good food,...
