Not what it used to be, even before it was sold to private equity. Thought you were paying a premium for something handmade by chefs trained by Norman himself? Unclear who the head chef is these days, but it hasn’t been Norman for at least a decade. The artistry that defined the brand has been reduced to a few generic shapes with basic splatters, because most of the chocolates are now mass-produced by a machine. Croissants, danish, and pie shells are shipped in frozen from factory wholesalers. The macarons also come from a supplier and are repackaged to make it look like they are still being made by their own chefs. I don’t think this happens anymore, but to cut costs they used to grind up the 2-3 day old muffins that didn’t sell, and use them as filler in the new muffins. Don’t blame the new ownership, it was like this while Norman was still at the helm. Handcrafted from the freshest ingredients wasn’t profitable enough for him. Just....MEH..I have had thr honor of experiencing some of the world's BEST chocolates and my friend was very excited to have me try these. As was I! The packaging was cute for something being mailed, seemed a bit juvenile. the chocolates arrived very sweaty. I corrected the issue as per instructions from the maker. Moving on from that issue I was still excited to taste these cute treats. Just molded, nothing overly special other than the colors were on point and the molds were spot on. All 8 of us each cut and tried all 32 chocolates and with the exception of 2 of them. We all were ghastly disappointed. Not all that flavorful or special at all. And the 2 we did note were heavily salted. We tried to leave a true review on their page but it will not allow you to leave anything less than a glowing review. These are ok chocolates, just ok. Watch out for allergies and cross contamination. Not saying they do, but always....watch out....

My boyfriend got these chocolates for me for Valentines Day, and they are OUT of this world delicious. I've only had three so far and I want to eat all 25 right now!

Chocolates: Absolutely a 5!!

Customer Service: DEFINITELY A 5!! My boyfriend ordered these online from Montana, and within minutes of ordering they contacted him to resolve any ordering issues and to make sure everything was okay. My boyfriend also overnighted them to make sure they would get here in time for V-day, and when the package didn't get delivered in the morning due to us being gone, they emailed him right away to make sure the address was correct and that we would be there to get it later if we wanted. Fed-Ex brought it back later that same day!!
