SEE UPDATE BELOW! FROM 3 TO 5 STARS!
Love the new location. Love the new full bar! I loved coming here for lunch and the best margaritas! They carry Tres Agaves, all three kinds as well.
The ambience is great. It has a casual but slightly upscale feel to it. The layout of the restaurant is great. The bar is great. The food is great. I've ordered several things the past 4 times I have been here.
What doesn't seem to go is the cheap silverware. It's horrible. You aren't a diner anymore. Time to invest in real silverware to go with your new look and feel. Not a deal breaker though.
Up to this point you were solidly at 4.5 stars possibly even 5 until my last visit.
What has ruined it for me is the new "bartender" and I use the word in quotes because I am not sure she has bartended before. When you have to explain that Tres Agaves is a tequila be afraid. When you have to explain several times you want a margarita but are handed straight tequila on rocks be afraid. After finally getting through the fact that you don't want straight tequila and you want a margarita, she poured the tequila out of the salted glass to a new glass and as you watch in horror at the way she's making it be afraid. Yup, it was undrinkable. Too salty and disgusting. What a disappointment.
Oh and did I mention she was super.sick and coughing and hacking everywhere?
Hopefully the owner/management will figure out super quickly she hasn't a clue what she is.doimg before they lose too many customers.
UPDATE: I won a gift certificate and 8 have returned 2 more times. The horrible bartender from above has been replaced by Michelle. AMAZING! She is prompt, attentive, witty, friendly, and professional. Everything you want and expect when sitting at the bar.
The food was spectacular. We had the sampler appetizer which everything on it was delicious. We both had chicken gyros which were much better than the previous times. The chicken was soft and juicy, not dried out like previous times.
The silver was much improved from last time as well. It was still a terrible roll-up within the napkin but it was the tiny inexpensive silver they had before.
The drinks were perfectly made as well. It was a perfect experience and cannot wait to return!
Well done Taverna on the...
Read moreOlympic Taverna offers a warm and welcoming dining experience from the moment you step in. Seating was immediate, and the host set the tone with a genuine, attentive presence that made the service stand out throughout the meal. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable, creating the perfect backdrop for an enjoyable lunch.
The menu selections we tried were excellent. The roast lamb was the star of the meal—tender, well-seasoned, and bursting with rich flavor that speaks to careful preparation. Equally enjoyable was the Taverna Special, which showcased the kitchen’s ability to balance tradition with taste. Both dishes delivered a sense of authenticity and satisfaction that is often sought but not always found.
Pricing was very fair for the quality and portion sizes, especially at lunchtime. Combined with plenty of convenient parking just outside, Olympic Taverna makes dining both accessible and worthwhile.
Overall, this is a restaurant I will happily return to—a great example of how excellent service and thoughtfully prepared food can elevate a casual meal into a memorable...
Read moreOlympia Taverna is easily one of the best dining spots in Palm City. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is inviting and you can tell the staff take real pride in what they do. The food is outstanding across the board, but there are a couple of dishes that really set this place apart. The Greek flatbreads are something special—crispy, flavorful, and unlike anything else around.
My personal favorite, though, is the Greek salad with salmon. It’s not your average Greek salad. Olympia adds roasted beets, which is such an unexpected touch, but it completely works and takes the dish to another level. The salmon is always cooked perfectly, and their Greek dressing is hands down the best I’ve ever had anywhere.
What I love most is that every visit feels consistent—fresh ingredients, generous portions, and flavors that feel both authentic and creative. It’s rare to find a restaurant that nails tradition while adding its own flair, but Olympia Taverna does it effortlessly. Palm City is lucky to have a place like this, and it’s quickly become one of my...
