I needed a cake for a 10 year old special birthday. I looked at every single cake he had online on his website, as well as all the reviews and loved them. I told Tim I needed a “JoJo Anime” themed cake.

Based on all the photos I had seen on his website, as well as reviews, I left most of the decorating up to him, and told him his cakes looked fabulous please make me a nice cake.

I told him Vanilla cake with Ganache filling and agreed on a photo for on top of the cake. I zelled Tim the agreed price and then he said the “Happy birthday Presley” banner on the bottom tray portion was another $20 so I send him that for a total of $95.00.

Once I got the cake home and took photos and realized that the cake had NOTHING else. No little fondant “10” on the side, no special decorative anything on the side of the cake. I trusted him to make me a cake that would be in line with his cakes in the photo gallery of his website, as well as the photos in the reviews.I guess that was my fault, but he did NOT tell me that my price cake would not look like those I saw.

The cake taste itself was fabulous! If this was just for the way the cake tasted the review would be different. But this was for a special 10 year birthday which is why I chose them. I wanted a cake that had a WOW factor, like I saw on their website and other reviews.

My cake had a photo on edible paper on top of fondant. Nothing else. The bottom layer had more ganache than the top layer as you can see in the photo.

All in all, I was disappointed that I feel that the bare minimum was done and I was not given the same level of cake that is advertised on his website or judging by the photos of all the other cakes on this review. I paid $75 for the 8 inch round cake, with $20 banner $95.00 for a cake. Really did love the cakes on his website but he really dropped the ball...

I found Palm Beach Bakes on a Yelp search as I live in Houston. My wife and I are expecting our first child and was in search of a gender reveal cake to share with our family and friends. Tim was very helpful over the phone and agreed to slot us in even though I called a bit last minute.

We wanted something minimalist on the outside and chocolate on the inside with the icing gender reveal. They pulled off my wife’s vision for our cake perfectly.

Not only was the cake exactly what we were looking for, everyone in attendance had multiple slices and agreed it’s the best cake they have ever had. Honestly it was way better than our wedding cake!!

Fulvia will be making any and all future cakes...

I have to wholeheartedly advise anyone seeking a made from scratch, gourmet, and delicious cake to choose Palm Beach Bakes. I almost missed this amazing cake experience because of not being able to do a tasting. But look at their work on web and read the reviews. You will not be disappointed. The cake details are gorgeous and it's delicious! I needed my mom's birthday dinner to be on point and an unforgetable time for her and our guests. And it was.
