Panera Bread — Restaurant in Florida

Today was the first visit for me at this location..my first impression, Wow!! This place is tidy ☺️..The eye catcher immediately was the baked items displayed in the racks.. I prefer not to use the "Self Order kiosk" so I went to the register and was instantly greeted by two women..They were polite, friendly, and very patient (I have hearing aids) ..The one young lady "Heather" took my order and I went with the onion soup and half sandwich.. I asked her what she recommends and she said she likes the tuna fish.. I ordered that and it was great for me..My order was #35 .. It was so easy to pick up, the counter was well lit and easy to find my order..As I was enjoying my meal, I was approached by a team leader (I think) and she pleasantly asked how my meal and drink was.. I was so impressed..her name is Monette..Turns out she was on my UPS route almost thirty years ago, she STILL IS JUST AS EFFICIENT, PLEASANT, AND WORKS with a sense of urgency and does it so smoothly, she makes it look easy.. obviously her co workers must respect her because I observed everyone seemed to be happy to be there..Thank you sincerely for a nice experience today, What a pleasant surprise for a change..see...

Surprised by the lack of care. Thought it would be a nice experience being a new Panera. It was not busy maybe one other order in front of ours. We ordered at the kiosk and went to get our drink cups as the kiosk said, saw them on the food counter next to our ticket and asked to grab them. The lady in the window seemed put off that we would ask and told us it would all be ready together but eventually was okay with us getting g our drinks before the order was up. We decided to sit outside at the outdoor tables and sat by the window with our buzzer. Eventually went in to check on our meal which was sitting in the window, we were told the “I called your order number and sometimes the buzzer doesn’t work outside.” Okay, again not busy at all but okay. Sandwhich was basically bread with a little other stuff, French onion soup lacked cheese and croutons and had to ask for them and to asking was “Sure I can give them to you”as she grabbed a clump of cheese and added it to my soup and spooned some croutons on top. Food was okay, definitely not our favorite Panera trip but mostly felt like we were a major inconvenience to the staff working. Will skip this one...

edit- this WAS a 5 star review. This time I went in and the mixed girl completely ignored me, like it was blatantly obvious that she was ignoring me because she was irritated that they were about to close. If you don’t want customers to come in until you close, just close earlier….

And the funny thing is I wasn’t even a customer she ignored me because she thought I was a customer LOL. I do DoorDash. I was unaware the rack on the other side was for doordash orders so when she finally realized I wasn’t a potential customer she finally greeeted me and showed me where the orders are. This is NOT how you treat people who walk in your store. Both girls that were standing up front completely ignored me and one of them completely walked away to do nothing on the other side of the restaurant. Please teach customer service skills because having below 4 stars as a Panera is embarrassing. No other locations in this area are rude like...
