I think Culver’s is overall a good fast food restaurant, but this location leaves much to be desired. I went to this location around 830pm on Friday night to grab a quick frozen custard concrete, and upon entering the building, I noticed there was a full staff of approximately 6-9 high school aged employees and virtually no customers. I ordered my custard, received my number, and went to the dining area to sit. While looking for a table I noticed several other tables that had trash from previous diners sitting on them that needed to be cleaned. Seeing dirty tables in a Culver’s is not something I’m used to seeing, and I thought that that did not bode well for me. After about 10 minutes of waiting for my one item, I decided to walk back to the counter to check on my order. Virtually the whole staff was in the area chatting and laughing with each other, and when they noticed me standing there holding my number sign, they began talking amongst themselves— “hey did you make 17 yet?” After some confused looks, one of the dudes began quickly making my concrete since it was obvious that they had forgotten about my order altogether (even though at this point I was the only patron in the restaurant and the drive thru appeared barren as well). One of the employees noticed the frustrated look on my face and gave me a coupon for a free meal with a sincere apology, which satisfied me. A minute or so later, I had my concrete and was able to go back to my seat. It was tasty as they always are. Read moreI am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent experience at your Culver’s in New Smyrna Beach. Despite having been a loyal customer for years, I will unfortunately be unable to return.
On Saturday, October 5th 2024, I placed an online order for a customized gluten-free burger. When the order arrived, it was incorrect in several ways. I contacted the restaurant to report the issue and was instructed to come in to pick up the correct order.
Upon arrival, I was asked for a confirmation number or receipt, which I did not have. After a brief inconvenience, I was able to show the staff a photo of the incorrect order. However, the wait for the corrected meal was unnecessarily long, and the staff’s behavior was unprofessional.
To my further dismay, the corrected meal was also incorrect. I contacted the general manager, who denied any wrongdoing and seemed uninterested in resolving the issue.
I have been a satisfied customer of Culver’s in New Smyrna Beach for a considerable amount of time, but this recent experience has completely eroded my trust in your brand. I believe that your staff's lack of professionalism and attention to detail is unacceptable. They gave me a number to put on my side view mirror and 5 people walk up to me with the wrong order! I was in their number one position in their drive thru and nobody seemed interested as to why I was there! 9 people behind me got their food and I still hadn’t received my food! After patiently waiting for 45 minutes, I still hadn’t received my order. This is after the 5 people walked up to me with the wrong order asking what my number was! I had finally had enough and I was aggravated! I asked for my money back and they had conveniently lost my order. The staff kept trying to find my order but kept getting it wrong. I had to tell the staff 3 times what my order was. They had the audacity to get offended because I was upset. After quite a few tries, the staff said they had refunded my money and gave me a receipt.
