We have always loved going there until a recent incident. We were there on this most recent Wednesday. We had a lot of fun all night- playing poker, listening to karaoke, enjoying the vibe. I saw the male bartender motion to another customer that had walked up to the bar to get drinks to put tips into a bucket, so we were putting our tips in the bucket as the night went on because the bucket was literally right next to me, i didn't realize we should have announced every time we put a tip in the bucket so that the bartender knew he was receiving tips but I suppose we should have (sarcasm). We definitely tipped, and we always tip well!! But as we were leaving the male bartender followed us outside asking about the service we received and questioning us on tipping him. It was such a turnoff!! We told him we tipped in the bucket, i believe my husband was even tipping him separately as well. A lady also came out and I believe she was a manager and very kind and apologizing and told the male bartender to go back inside. I love this place and don't want to stop going, but my husband doesn't think he will be back, which is unfortunate bc it's so close to us and a lot of time we would get an uber so we don't have to drive home. I will still give a great review on everything else, but this one isolated incident, which I feel deserves...
Read moreThis was our first time at Peggy's Corral since moving here. Smokey's Daniels Band entertainment was wonderful. We were on a bike and the parking arrangement was as good as I've seen anywhere for the motorcycles. The food and drink prices were medium. Being a veteran it was obvious by our flag still being at half mast, which should have been put back at full mast on the 19th at dusk, and the US flag by the female pirate being so worn and faded you can hardly distinguish between the red and white stripes, they are not concerned with patriotism. Until I see the United States flags treated with the respect they deserve I will not "patronize" Peggy's Corral.
UPDATE: I was informed that the flag in such poor shape is a memorial flag for those that died in the Twin Towers and is in the process of being replaced along with an new flag pole. I was sitting within 5 feet of the flag pole and had there been a plaque or marker pointing out the significance of the flag it would have changed my original opinion about Peggy's. I didn't know about these flags until recently and would be curious as to how many in the general public know about these...
Read moreI haven't been out In a long time, and was starving and saw the food truck at Peggy's on my way home. Turns out, this truck is owned separately from the bar, but definitely brings in most of its business. Thrive music was also great this night. The pool tables were really exciting to see, but as I sat down to order a drink, the bartender immediately threw off the entire scene. As an 8$ cocktail hardly made it into my hands, I was immediately shocked by her misunderstanding of A comment I had made about not having a lot more cash for her tip. She threw my change at me and started screaming at me that she didn't need my money and that I was causing problems with innocent customers, whom I had kindly conversed with and she brought them into her exploitation of me by naming them as helpless victims, both of which were big men and surely could defend themselves if they thought necessary. She belittled the others and her profanity and rage was amongst the worst I had ever seen. Attitude check! Too bad, it seemed like a pretty chill place...
