My husband and I just got a 12" philly to split togo and now that we are back at our hotel and devoured that tastie sandwich we are highly regretting that we did not get 2! First off the blonde girl that greeted us was so nice and smiley and took our order. I could tell they had been kinda busy then as they had about 5 tables filled in their small dining area and people waiting for togo orders. My order only took less than 10 minutes. This sandwich reminded us of an awesome trip to Philadelphia we had a year ago. This sandwich was perfect, the cheese was melted into the meat and the roll had the perfect softness to it. They also have beer and good wine selction. Can you guys please open a Orlando location??!
Update: we went again the next day! had to have our own sandwiches and ate in this time. I had the beach blonde and hubby had the cider to drink. everything...
Read moreCash only, high prices, overly salted food! :( I took my family there to grab some food for a picnic at Fort Desoto. The review you see above is from the owner - no conflict of interest there! Anyway, our order consisted of a salad, a bagel, a Philly Cheese steak sub, and a veggie sub, a water, Gatorade and a coke. It came to $30! Then the guy tells me they don't accept debit/credit! But conveniently, he has an ATM right behind me... guess what the service fee was... $2.75! OK - so I paid it (it just galls me to pay a fee to get my own damn money) and we left. I was so ticked I already vowed never to return, but THEN I ate the food! Holy cow was this crap salty! What a load of garbage they served up. I absolutely will NOT return, and I don't recommend this place to anyone.... Unless you have a LOT of loose cash and are...
Read moreHubs took me to breakfast yesterday at Phila Deli. It’s a little place in a strip mall. The small restaurant is clean and also has a bar area. I believe it serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. I didn’t know our server’s name, but she was sweet and provided good service. I had an amazing avocado toast. I think it’s one of the best I’ve had. They even made my toast with ciabatta and added an over easy egg on request. Hubby had your normal two eggs, sausage and hash browns dish. This restaurant also has a bakery attached, and we did leave with four pasties to take to our next resort in Longboat Key. I did think their price of $5 per item was a tad too much, though. Their homemade sandwiches on baguettes look so good, too. The bakery staff was just as sweet as our server. I...
