So I'm in Lutz, FL visiting my daughter, son-in-law and grandson with my wife. We decide to get some pizza, local pizza, big chains are out of the question. Of the long list of pizza joints in the area, we choose this little family owned and operated, authentic New York style Italian pizzeria. Late on a Friday afternoon.
Walking in, you get the aroma of a place that focusses on getting the ingredients fresh, flavorful and right. The staff is busy shifting around the assembly table, ovens and counters doing what people do when the orders are coming in faster than Indy 500 race cars going for a pit stop: all at once and 2nd place doesn't count.
They take our order. two 16 inchers. One plain with pepperoni, ham, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms... and ANCHOVIES!!! They have anchovies!!! The other, chicken, spinach, ricotta cheese and tomato. She says it will be ready in about 20 minutes, so we wait.
My wife and daughter are a little impatient, since we've been shopping at the local Outlet Mall with my 2 year old grandson. They are thinking that it was a bad idea to wait so long. I'm not making any rush judgements until the product is in my mouth.
Well, to end the story before you loose interest, I'll say that everyone was VERY satisfied. The two 16 inchers were savored to the last crumb by the four and a half of us (yeah, my son-in-law loved it too).
When the lady behind the counter handed me our two pizzas, I had a premonition of a robust meal from the heft of the two boxes. When we opened them up, we could see that they weren't overloaded like our trash can the night before garbage pick-up. They were moderately topped with all the ingredients we asked for. No skimping on anything.
The best way to describe them was very well proportioned. The flavor was of fresh ingredients, freshly procured, hand made and carefully baked to the proper degree.
In a nutshell: If you like great pizza and don't want to settle for some national chain of mass produced, frozen this or that. You want to try Pizza Suprema in Lutz. They deliver, do take out and dine in.
You won't be...
Read moreMy family and I have been ordering from this restaurant for 2 years and had never had any problem with our food until today. We ordered two 18’ pizza and 12 garlic knots by phone and were told to pick the pizza in about 30-35 minutes. We went to pick up the pizza about 20 minutes later. When I went inside to pick them up they were sitting on top of the oven so I asked how long they had been up because the cheese appeared to be a little stiff. The cashier asked if I would like for them to pop the pizzas back in the oven for a minute and I told her yes. Long story short, got the pizzas home only to find that the pizza crust was toasty and there was very little sauce on them. So I called to express my disappointment with our order and the so called manager became very rude and irate. He basically told me that he would send someone to pick up the pizzas and that he would make us some new ones. We were okay with the driver picking up the pizzas, but because I asked if we could have the pizzas replace another day, the dude became angry accused me of asking for money back and pretty much told me that we needed to return two whole pizzas to him even if we have to pick through the trash to retrieve pieces that were thrown away. All of this so that he could show his boss. I told him that we did not have a problem with him picking up the pizzas we had left, but he continued to argue with me so I told him that he could pick up the pizzas, but I would not be ordering from them anymore. His response to me was, “that’s fine”.
My husband took the pizzas back to the restaurant and requested to speak with the manager that was rude to me, but when his employees called for him, the dude ignored them. My husband said that the same manager spoke very rudely and berating to his own employees right front of a restaurant full of customers. Bottomline, the dude manager didn’t have enough decency or respect for the business to even speak to a loyal customer! Very unprofessional! Will never go back to this place again! Buyers Beware!! TERRIBLE...
Read moreOver-priced!!!!! I called to order two large pizzas last night, the guy sounded a bit out of it when taking all my information, told me to hold, and then a completely different person picked up the phone and started asking me all the info over again! And I said, "I already spoke to someone, do you have everything?" And the guy said "oh! Yes you did! Let me run your card, do you want to leave a tip?" And asked, "well how much is it bc I told the other guy $3 but he actually never gave me a total." The guy said "$41"........ For two effing large pizzas are you kidding me??????? And so I told him please don't put the tip on the card we have cash.
Well, dude gets there, give him cash tip, look at the receipt only to find they did charge my card an extra $3.00 for a tip (which we were going to throw him more cash anyways) and the meat-lovers pizza is about half covered in meat and the other half of the pizza is only pepperoni and few pieces of sausage. The other pizza was half pineapple and half pepperoni--- now it's kind of unbelievable to me that a place doesn't strain the pineapple juice off prior to dumping it all over the pizza, as this pizza was disgustingly soggy and looked as tho it has not been cooked. INCREDIBLY pissed off at this pizza order and how much I had to pay for it.
You guys should list some prices on your webpage, and definitely tell people their total prior to running a card because I would have cancelled my order, or probably only gotten one pizza. I would have called to ask for my money back but that's a bigger pain in the ass than $40 is really worth to me. I'd rather just write several bad reviews on the place.
So- to be clear, I would never order from this place ever again. Not recommend to a single person I know unless feeding it to a cow. Not even good enough for a dog. If you guys want to try and contact me, as you can see my name is Amanda, if you keep track of your orders from 8/19 you'll be able to find my order. I really feel...
