Popi's Place IV — Restaurant in Florida

We go to Poppy's pretty often we've been going there over the last 10 years or so the only thing that I wish they would do is to have a Greek lemon soup all the time and I wish they would have Greek have chickens like they used to Greek style and fried Greek fried chicken what they used to but the food there is always good I love their desserts that I think the deserts of price to high that's why we don't get them anymore but we know they're good I know prices went up that we had the other day and it was $4 for a little league piece to B of the back of the car and it was gone we didn't know it until we got home we bought two for us and two for my brother-in-law and when we opened the box we were shocked does it cost you so much $20 us $16 plus tax for a couple bites of dessert price way too high but it was very very good and it wasn't original it's the way that should be made and they do very good but I have no complaints about popi's place to food is always good the service is always good that's my only little pet peeve they should have some more senior specials that's about it but if you go there you're going to have a good meal no matter what no matter what day it is no matter how you feel you're going to leave. I got to leave happy and it's pretty reasonable price that's all like spot we like popi's Place wherein our 70s now our children are in the 50 states still go there and our grandchildren are in our teams in the twenties and they go there so that should tell you something it wasn't good they wouldn't go that new generation but they go and they love it and their food is too they still like the old style every once in awhile but when we're family we want to go somewhere else together we say where you want to go they always say let's go to Poppy's so what more can I say another try at...

Popi and Jennifer's team blew us out of the water. They catered for our wedding at Bakers Ranch. My wife has many allergies and we knew that finding a caterer will be extremely difficult. Many “allergen” friendly caterers we engaged with turned us down the moment we shared our list of allergies but Popi’s did not. She hosted us in their Ellenton restaurant for tasting where Jennifer ensured that all meals they will be serving would be allergen-friendly to my wife. It was great to have someone willing to go out of their way to listen and hear our needs; Popi and her family did that and more. Not only did they serve us allergen-friendly meals, but they were also very delicious. Popi even came to our table and started coming up with ideas to add to our menu that would work for our allergies.

In short, I highly recommend Popi's Place. They catered our dinner and ice cream cart for our wedding. Listened to all of our needs, responded to our questions and concerns, and fed our party well. My only wish is that our wedding food is also served daily in their restaurants, there have been multiple times that I craved what they served at...

It's middle of the road quality, amount of food, taste of food, price, and atmosphere. Been going on and off for years as it seems to swing back and forth from better to worse. Not a big variety of full meal restaurants to pick from in this area so end up there. Need serious competition maybe it would improve them all the way around. New posting 9/28/18...swore I would NEVER go back here again.Well, a friend asked me to lunch and he chose the place so we had no choice buy be nice. After I ordered the fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich was less the size it used to be by over half Chicken was sloopy made and falling apart. The server was NASTY and I had to keep asking busboy to get my drinks as she never came back. I CAN SAY NOW THAT I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN...IT'S NEEDS A GOOD CLEANING. HORRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE. Shame on staff at Ellenton location.
