Spoiled rice! My husband and I have been to this establishment several times and have never experienced what we did today. Today we ordered tacos, rice and beans to go. We arrived home to find our rice was spoiled. It had that sour smell. At first I thought it was my nose playing tricks on me so I asked my husband to smell it and he gagged. Up to this point we had eaten several spoonfuls of it. I was extremely upset to learn we were served spoiled rice, especially because I am nursing my baby. We drove back to the restaurant and I spoke to the manager, Elizabeth. When I showed her the rice she looked at it and stated "that is how our rice is and this is the rice we fill all our orders with" I said " I don't think you understand what I'm saying, smell it" She didnt. I repeated myself and she smelled it. When she smelled it she just looked up at me and didn't say a word. I asked her if she knew how dangerous it was to serve spoiled rice and she said "no, ....so what do you want your money back or what?" I said " No I don't want anything back. I am here because you are serving this to who knows how many people and someone can become deathly ill from spoiled rice!!" She just looked at me and apologized -but I did not feel it was sincere. I will not be returning to this establishment, I will not recommend this establishment and the health department will be receiving a complaint from me in regards to what...

Walking into this truly unique restaurant and grocery is like being teleported instantly to a taqueria in a small town in Mexico. Staff are friendly and accommodating for those of us who are linguistically challenged and limited to only English. Food is delicious, fairly priced, and the tortas sandwiches are much too big to ever be finished in a single meal. The market offers groceries and specialty items from Mexico including pastries, desserts, pinatas, and more. The jukebox is always playing and it's common to see families dancing and laughing. IT IS VERY WORRYING IF, GIVEN A CASE, THE HEALTH SANITATION DEPARTMENT ENTERS TO INSPECT THIS PLACE RESTAURANT AND INSPECTS HOW IS IT THAT THESE EMPLOYEES AND COOKS ARE HANDLING THAT.. THE TRUTH IS THAT ALL OF MY FAMILY AND ALL MY FRIENDS ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE TYPE OF SERVICE AND LITTLE PROFESSIONALISM AND LITTLE ETHICS IN REFERENCE THAT THEY COOK BADLY AND DO NOT HAVE THE SHAME OF GIVING RAW FOOD GREASY AND COOKING WITH OIL OVER USED THE NASTY BAD TASTE RICE AND WITH A BAD SMELL OF AN OVERHEATED FOOD WITH A BAD SMELL AND BAD TASTE.
