Family owned business was great!!!. When I arrive there, there was a loud, obnoxious cook with a terrible attitude. He was heard complaining about the customers who made minor changes to a meal aghey were ordering. The cook had no manors and even complained about the owners to both the staff and the customers!!!! Thankfully this terrible cook was let go/fired and since we were made aware of this change, my friends, my family and I have returned to dinning at out favorite local family owned restaurant. The food is always great and the prices are more than fair!!! And to think that this one cook's attitude and behavior almost prevented all 4 generations of my family from ever eating there again. The staff and owners are always polite, friendly, and very professional!!! Bdacuse of them, we are now regular dinners at this Establishment.

Read moreLittle place at a country Crossroads. Charming rustic country atmosphere. They don't have very many tables but they also have counter seating with maybe six stools . I think they might have outdoor seating also but I didn't really investigate it . Very clean. You can tell it's popular with the locals. Very good and friendly service. We were there for lunch. Fried Green Tomatoes might be the best I've had. They have a remoulade sauce that they make to go with them that was excellent. Even my wife liked it, and she usually does not like sauces. I had the Florida Filly Po Boy (cheesesteak). Excellent. I had the full size with the side of onion rings, which were also great. The sub was so big I probably should have either taken half of it with me or ordered the half, but it was so good I stuffed myself. My wife had the fried shrimp with french fries which she liked so much she wouldn't even give me a taste and she took half of it home with her and ate it later. They had some delicious sounding homemade desserts on the Blackboard, but we were so full we couldn't eat any more. Maybe next time! They have a debris gravy that goes with some of the meals which I am also going to try next time. They also had a couple of gluten-free options...
Read moreWhat is not to love about this place? It's a clean family-run restaurant that serves dishes not normally on other menus- boudin, beignets, gator & the burger selection is downright meaty. The brisket was excellent, the Momalaya was great, and all of the staff are very attentive. I love the simple and rustic decor, and the lighting is perfect. I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in. There is limited seating (wise choice on their part) so we invited a couple also waiting to join us at our table, which was nice and big so we didn't feel cramped. We all had an enjoyable dinner, made some new friends and found our new go-to place to eat. UPDATE- So tonight I had the Dixie burger. When I first met Anthony, he described this burger while telling me what they served at Southern Harmony. So I've been thinking about ever since. With so many delicious sounding items on the menu, I finally just went for it. A bacon cheeseburger with sweet coleslaw and smoked brisket, all vying for my tastebuds...and then it happened. I bit into the caramelized bun and it was game over. That sweet crispy bread is the perfect companion to all of that smoky love going on, and this is one...
