We were excited to stop by here as a family while we were in town. The atmosphere is charming with games to play at the tables and we were excited about the large menu. Unfortunately all of the prices on the menu have been covered up by stickers so you have no idea what you are paying until after you order. There were only two people working there and unfortunately it took them quite a while to get everybody's orders. I cannot have dairy and so I specifically asked if there was any ice cream on the menu that had no dairy. I was expecting that there be very few options, but had seen online that this ice cream place did have non-dairy options. The person at the window told us that there was mango sorbet and so we ordered that. We went to order other things for our kids based on the menu and found out that most of the things we ordered they didn't actually have. It would have been helpful if those things had also been covered up on the menu. We found other things to order and then waited for quite a while for our desserts. When we went back to the window for our desserts, we found out that they actually did not have any mango sorbet and so by that point there was such a long line. We decided that I would just not have any ice cream. Not the end of the world but certainly disappointing. For three people. We paid over $30... Again, we probably would have ordered slightly differently if we had been able to see the prices on the menu. If we're back in town, I think we'll pick somewhere...
Read moreVery cute location, love the idea of the games and the ice cream was good but not the best I've had. My issue is with the prices and staff. We got 1 Boba drink, 1 cone bowl with 1 scoop and 1 scoop in a cup, the total was a little over $20. Much better options nearby with better pricing. That I would likely get over if the staff was better. First it seemed like they were annoyed by any question I asked and seemed a bit rude, they are young so I get it. What threw it over the edge for me though was the rest of the visit. As I stated I ordered the above THREE things. I was immediately handed the ice creams and was told the Boba would be out in a minute. The Boba was for my daughter, so I had one child with her ice cream and one waiting patiently (we were the ONLY people there for about 10 min). I kept waiting to be called and about 10-15 min later (after my husband and other daughter were almost done) I walked up to the window and asked "is my Boba almost done?", this was after another group had come up and gotten their full order. The young girl says "oh yea there was a Boba on that order ". Now there were about 5-6 staff just standing there all together, all looking at me at once and we can't remember 1 of 3 items? It sucked!! I should have asked sooner, my fault but I figured it was just something that took longer! I don't know if we will be back, however I do think the staff could use some guidance...
Read moreWe took our little rescue Chihuahua, to go get some ice cream. We live in Arcadia but were doing some shopping around town and my hubby suggested Swirls. The young lady that was there just looked like she belonged there!!! Very pretty young lady that has her head on straight and works hard enough to save up for her own dang mustang!!!! I was impressed. Not as often that you find someone young like that with work ethic. I'm only turning 40, I know I sound like my parents and g-parents but it's true!! Anyways, they had good old 50s music playing that reminded me of my Dad. It was a great place to go... no one else was there, we were served very quickly and after the nice conversation with little miss mustang (if you read this my dear, be careful! It's not you necessarily to watch out for lol... it's everyone else that have drivers licenses and maybe possibly should not? But who am I to judge... just be careful and stay working hard. You're an asset to Swirls. I'm sure they know that as you talked about your job with enthusiasm! Oh... and the ice cream couldn't have been better!! Thank you! We'll be back!(Rescued 2 more abandoned Chihuahuas the other night ughhh) they'll want ice cream as well lol... along with the 8 Dogo...
