My wife and I went to this Waffle House for Valentine's Day dinner. They actually take reservations for dinner that day. We made reservations a few weeks before. I spoke with the District Manager, Dirk, who said we were the very first people to make reservations at that location for Valentine's Day. He was extremely friendly and full of information. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by several employees, including the very same District Manager. They escorted us to a spot set up to take our picture for the big occasion. We were then shown to our table. It had a white tablecloth, small votives, and decorative hearts on the table as well. Our cutlery was wrapped in napkins and tied with pink ribbon formed into bows. We were then greeted by our server, Trav, who could not have been any nicer and friendlier if she tried! We were given complimentary glasses of sparkling grape juice and a basket of Texas toast. We then placed our orders. We both had T-Bone steaks with hashbrowns and a salad. It was delicious!! During dinner, Dirk presented us with a copy of the photo they took of us when we first arrived. It was in a paper picture frame as well (It now sits on our mantel)! We were ready to leave when they came with dessert. My wife, Jana, said that we hadn't ordered anything. The server said it was included and that we couldn't leave yet! We stayed right there and had dessert. It was small waffle pieces cut into hearts topped with whipped cream, strawberries and chocolate chips. It was perfect! When we were leaving, we thanked everyone. Read moreI love Waffle House and haven’t had a bad experience in any but here was absolutely ridiculous. Staff is rude and loud and talk amongst themselves when you are waiting for acknowledgement. Place wasn’t even busy and I had to wait because tables weren’t clean and none of the staff cared. When I did get my food there was a hair in it. The cook wasn’t wearing a hair net and he had an Afro. Sure enough no one cared. Desree was the only one who was put together enough to give us the customer service we were expecting from Waffle House. Especially after finding the hair she was the only one who apologized. She came in put her stuff down and helped us right away since unfortunately her co workers were busy counting their tips. I wish I was kidding when I say that while we were waiting on help before Desree came in the worker sits down on the bar and says “let’s see how much tips I made”. Which was insane since the “manager” was there??? She was a trainee and became a manager. She took our order on a napkin and disappeared. We had to ask for utensils after our food had been on the table. We ended up not leaving a tip since the service was so bad. This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Read moreWent today 5.15.25 12PM wish I would have got her name. From the very beginning (because it was so LOUD in there with just employee) girl keep asking me to repeat. Ordered a bowl with grits, eggs over medium, sausage. Then after a bit asked for wheat toast I forgot to order. Sister got the all star, when she brought the food I had scrambled eggs. Had to caller 3 times before she acknowledge me. "I asked for eggs over medium". She gonna stand there and tell me NO YOU DIDN'T!!! Looked at my sister, she said yes she did. She still had something smart to say as she walked off. Then my sister asked about her waffle "oh its coming" now anywhere else (EAST FORT MYERS ONE) you get it all at once...not with her!!! I know she told that guy take his time cause it was another 15 mins for 2 eggs to be fried! My sister eggs were cold by time she got her waffle..and to add THERE WAS NO ONE THERE except a couple came in AFTER us and were almost done, when I finally got mine!!!
Never seen such a RUDE WAITRESS IN MY 66 YRS !!!!! MANGERS NEED TO STEP UP AND TRAIN A WAITRESS.....YOU DONT CALL A CUSTOMER A LIER!!!!! WILL NEVER BE BACK TO THIS PLACE!!!!
