I'm just in from N.Y. and am use to real italian food from high-end restaurants where waiters don't even speak english and no prices are shown on the menu at all...so, it's not fair to compare this small town Midwestern place to Little Italy or "The Hills".??...which I'm told is closer to real traditional italy. Italy is my heart and it's food is my soul. My Lasagna wasn't bad. But, the small things do matter. Italian salads made up of tons of iceberg lettuce and pounds of cheese is not even close to acceptable. The Italian cheese bread served was processed slices laid over butter and toasted like the grilled cheese your kids make after school. I recommend travel to N.Y. or of course italy again to see what good italian cuisine looks like and how it's served....I'll say though, my server was amazing! Better would have been...Italian loafs or bread slices with extra virgin olive oil, and fresh herbs to dip the bread... Even adding italian seasoning, butter and shreds of fresh mozzarella cheese would work as a better presentation...The salad with at least romaine lettuce, but better dark green spring lettuce with italian herbs, extra virgin olive oil and seasoning.... and ask each person if they want fresh shredded italian mozzarella cheese or fresh pepper from a grader that the server adds to each plate at the customer's taste, which is better and saves money if everyone doesn't want 5 pounds of bagged cheese added. I'll not return, but care enough to share helpful feedback, so maybe you'll never get a poor rating..... Be blessed and see you in N.Y. soon I hope. Try Carrabbas at...

Today was my family's first & last time visiting this restaurant. We were seated at a filthy table by an old lady with an attitude. The restaurant wasn't busy, so we assumed that she would eventually stop pretending to be so occupied & clean the table but no. She rudely took our drink orders, seemingly offended by the mere question of do they offer strawberry sodas. Sorry lady it wasn't a demand, just a simple question. I'm fine with Pepsi products lol. We eventually had a different person come & take our order. We waited for an extreme amount of time for 2 pizzas a chicken strips. We had plenty of time to sit & see other customers come in & be seated at tables that the old lady now feels the need to clean properly. People came in after us , ordered food & ate as we still waited. Finally we requested that we have our food to go, only to be brought 2 empty pizza boxes. When we finally received our pizzas, we were actually expected to transfer them to the boxes without a spatula or any other utensils. It was just a weird vibe. So if you want overpriced pizza, served by an evil old lady, on a filthy table,as you watch other more important customers being served ,while you sit clearly invisible to the staff, this is the restaurant for you! I personally was afraid to even eat the food after that treatment & would've been better off buying frozen pizza from the...

Food was good, but horrible customer service! Was greeted by a brash, apathetic, and passive-aggressive hostess/waitress (Sarah). Arrived first in my party of 4 and asked for four waters. Sarah crudely suggested we wait for the entire party to arrive. Last time I checked, it was a server’s job to attend to the customers—not at this restaurant apparently. My mother ordered a chicken parmesan dinner and was asked how she wanted it cooked. She asked the waitress what she meant, Sarah stared at her with a blank expression as if it were evident what she meant—not answering her question. I knew (looking at the menu) Sarah meant whether or not she wanted the chicken breaded/unbreaded or grilled/fried. But, my mother has trouble with her eyesight and a simple (non-sarcastic) answer to the question would have sufficed. Wasn’t given straws with the 4 waters we ordered. When we asked, she pulled out 3 straws for the 4 of us and walked away. We then asked her for another straw and she responded by saying she only had 3 straws on her person. She then proceeded to ask us if we all needed a straw instead of just giving us a 4th straw. I get they’re short staffed, but you have

I really enjoy Saint Louis style pizza. I was pretty excited to try Pirrone's Pizza. I ordered carry out so I really can't speak on the atmosphere. However, the pizza was a big letdown. Now, don't get me wrong, there was potential to be good. The biggest problem honestly was that my pizza was very salty. So salty, we couldn't finish it. I ordered meat lovers. In addition, in the middle of my pizza, the toppings were sparce. The edges of the crust were very brown and overcooked. On a positive note, it was hot and fresh and prepared in the time frame that they promised. Based on reviews and word of mouth, I've heard it was good. Maybe I caught them on a bad day because mine was not.

I grew up going to St. Louis and eating St. Louis-style pizza at this one Italian restaurant. A few years ago, that restaurant closed and my whole family was in mourning. We tried other places but they just weren't the same. Until we went to Pirrone's! It is exactly what we were looking for! The restaurant itself is just OK but the food is perfection! Well at least the pizza and house salad is - that's all I will ever eat because it's that good! The pizza crust is cracker thin and the cheese is this melty cheddar provel blend. The salad has the perfect oil and vinegar dressing.

I'll say this. The food was fantastic. I had the Pirrone's Supreme and the hot wings. They were absolutely delicious! If you love Imos, then you'll love Pirrone's. However in my opinion, Pirrone's is beating Imos because their wood-fired pizza add a wonderful char and crunch definitely enhancing their pizza's flavor. The service was very mediocre though. The host didn't even acknowledge my presence without me getting his attention. The waitresses were nice though. I would still go back for the pizza though.
