Rockin' S Bar and Grill at Twin Coves Marina — Restaurant in Flower Mound

*This has always been a favorite Summer stop for us via boat on Lake Grapevine, NOT ANYMORE! In years past, we've brought friends and family here multiple times a month, often twice in a single weekend. UPDATE: The menu has been cut in half and priced increased dramatically! We Spent $75 plus tip for the confused waitress on 3 burgers and chips, queso, guac, no drinks. The queso is now 1/2 cup of warm cheese, the guac was delicious, but, again, maybe a half cup? The burgers were fine, but not the quality and variety we have enjoyed in the past, and certainly not worth $15+ each. Only inside seating was open, bleh! We are at the lake, why would we go inside to eat? Makes no sense! We were a little let down with hours, service, and menu changes last summer, but tried one more time. Save your time and money, stop at Whataburger on the way home!!! My husband and I love going to lake grapevine. We’ve been going for awhile now. But we’ve never tried Rockins Bar and Grill. So we did! It started off great. Got a really nice seat next to a window so we could see the lake.

I want to say that our waitress was really nice and accommodating. I was really surprised she was able to be so attentive given how busy they were and it seemed like she was the only server on duty.

My bad experience comes from the food though. My husband and I had ordered the catfish basket. About 15 minutes into our meal I noticed that we didn’t get our hush puppies or cole slaw. So I asked about it and our waitress apologized and said they were out of both hush puppies and coleslaw.

So we paid full price for a meal that was missing items we paid for.

I would love to give this place another try if management can correct the issues we ran into. Until then, I definitely can’t recommend...

A date and I went here for dinner, and the experience was OK. There were a few slip ups on the part of our server that were nothing to get upset or complain over, but that showed that there might be a training gap that needs to be addressed (e.g., when I ordered the lobster macaroni & cheese, the server assumed I wanted the regular macaroni & cheese, and my date specifically requested his beer be served straight from the bottle, but instead got it in a glass, to name a few). The food here was also OK, nothing to rave over - the lobster mac & cheese was bland, and the burger that my date ordered was decent. It's definitely not a location that I would purposely seek out again if I wanted good food, but I would probably go back here out of convenience if I spend a day out on Grapevine lake and get...
